Boyd County is located in the Eastern Coal Field region of the state. The elevation in the county ranges from 515 to 1140 feet above sea level. In 2000 the county population was 49,752 in a land area of 160 square miles, an average of 310.6 people per square mile. The county seat is Catlettsburg, located at the junction of the Ohio and Big Sandy rivers, where Kentucky meets Ohio and West Virginia.

What's For December, 2009

With Winter approaching I have some things that will be coming to this site.
Besides catching up on past submitted items, which will be first in line.
The Boyd Cty Library and I have come to agreement on lending and posting School Yearbooks for Boyd Cty.
I have given much thought on how to handle this, may not be the best way, but I will put scanned papers per year first on the site, then I will add the html pages afterwards.
