CEMETERY.Cumberland.View.Madison Cumberland View Cemetery, Madison County, Kentucky There is only a small portion of this family cemetery remaining. It is located on private property that once belonged to "Cuff" Daniel and "Tough" Daniel MAUPIN. It is found behind a house in front of the Okonite Plant on US-25 (at Terrill Junction) South of Richmond. Many years ago cattle were allowed to wander through the cemetery and it was badly damaged. In the early 1950s all of the "Fancy" headstones were removed and placed in the Richmond Cemetery. It was allowed to become overgrown until the plant was built; now it is kept very well. In addition to the few stones remaining there are several pieces and some stones that were markers. There are many unmarked graves in this family place including those of the two Revolutionary War veterans and their wives. This family plot was checked by Loren Adams in 1987 and rechecked by Donal S. West in 1989. There was an earlier inventory and those stones reported but not found are listed at the end. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * Polly (Maupin) Cornelison; b. Jan 10 1795 d. May 17 1845 wife of R.
