Feb - appears there was a dispute between Jesse MOON and Jessey JONES over a hog which they both claimed. Church believes it to be an honest mistake, no charges. Mar - STROWD attended the meeting & made out a deed. Jessey JONES requested the help of the church re a difficulty at the Brownsville Church - same charge over the hog. Petitioned this church, Holly Spring Church, Cedar Church, Sinking Creek Church & Smiths Grove to meet. Apr -- Meeting re the hog. From Brownsville Church: A M BARRETT & James W F ROGERS. From Cedar Spring: Thos H GARDNER & Wm THOMPSON. From Holly Spring: Hayton LINDSEY, David GOYER & Wm LINDSEY. From Smiths Grove: Wm WRITE & Wm FERGUSON. From Sinking Creek: George WRITE & James DOWDY. Beaver Dam had David CUTLIP & James STRODE. Found that the hog belonged to Madison JONES; Jesse JONES was authorized to sell it; Bro MOON honestly believed the hog to be his from the marks on it but was mistaken. They found that JONES was most to blame because of hard speech, subject to be dropped. Ivy Church requests helps for ordination of a deacon. Jun - William MOORE, Tilethy E MOORE, Sentha A RAY all excluded for joining the Reformers. Austin CLAYTON asks to be excluded from being under watch-care, so done. Aug - George Ann ROGERS (nee ROWNTREE) granted letter of dismission; Harriet E DAVIS (nee MOORE) same; Patsey MOORE excluded for joining the Reformers; Emily DUNN granted letter of dismission. Considerable arguments followed, took a vote, vote stoped. W MOORE arose & send he had enough republicanish "a nough to go and led the way", moved to another part of the house with J W ROWNTREE following him saying "come over to liberty". He was followed by A B GARDNER, JAMES STROWD, W CAPS, Austin CLAYHTON & others. Dismissed. Nov - Jesse MOON still moderator. Church named a new clerk, Thomas JONES. Bro. RAY chosen treasurer.
