Trustrees released from trying to obtain deed from James STROWD for the one acre of land. Feb - John RAY, moderator. James STROWD asked to attend next meeting. "Brother Jessey JONES as Respects a hog that they both claimed and we believe it to be an honist [sic] differnce between the parties - we further believe that said MOON is clean of intentially intending to injur [sic] said JONES and we believe that said MOON be acquited [sic] of any desine [design] against JONES. Mar - John JONES, moderator. Jessey JONES of Brownsville Church requested helps in a difficulty between he and Bro MOON re the hog. Helps sent to churches - Brownsville, Holly Spring, Cedar Church, Sinking Creek & Smiths Grove (3 men to each church). Apr - John JONES. Hog problem discussed - following brethren present: Brownsville: A M BARRETT and James W F ROGERS. Cedar Spring: Thos H GARDNER & Wm THOMPSON. Holley Spring: Hayton LINDSEY, David GOYER, Wm LINDSEY. Smiths Grove: Wm WRITE, Wm FERGUSON. Sinking Creek: George WRITE & James DOWDY. David CUTLIP and James STRODE from Beaver Dam. Proof seems to indicate that that hog belongs to Madison JONES. Jesse JONES authorized to sell it. MOON honestly believed the hog to be his because of a mark, was mistaken. Brethren acted improperly, they to forgive each other; MOON being most to blame. Austin CLAYTON asked to be excluded from the church, rejected- no charge against him. Jul - William SCAGGS, moderator. George Ann ROGERS (nee ROWNTREE) granted letter of dismission, also Harriet E DAVIS (nee MOORE). Patsey MOORE excluded for joining the Reformers. Emily DUNN granted letter of dismission. So W MOORE arose and sed he had republicicism a nough to go and led the way so he moved to another parte of the house with J W ROWNTREE fawling him and Sed come over to liberty while thare folard A B GARDNER, James STROWD, W CAPS, Austin CLAYTON and others. Thos names is not yet knoone and at the same time J C ROWNTREE and W MOORE stated that the{y} hold no charg agnst no member of the Church and W MOORE came bac as much as twice and declarde that he loved the brthrening just as well as he ever did and wished us to hold him in like asteem & being left without a clurk and by the concente of the Church and W MOORE agreed that he should mak out unfinished parts of our record of that days bisness and was dismiss in order."
