Brownsville Church requested helps for a difficulty there; Levi MOORE, Richard BRAY & Daniel KEETH to go. Andrew ALEXANDER charged with drinking ardent spirits to excess - John HERINGTON, Elijah JONES to go see him - to come to next meeting. Wm CATEN charged with intoxication - Jefferson FORT and Garland RAY to see him. Recvd by experience Misilly SMITH, Sabriana SHACKLEFORD, Mahaley HERINGTON. May - Wm WHITMAN, moderator. Andrew ALEXANDER's case - wait for him until June meeting. Wm CATEN's case - found not guilty. Recvd James BLARE by letter. ALEXANDER's case taken up & gave satisfaction. No word from "Ritchard M BIB" re land so 5 members appt to select a suitable place to build a meeting house: Ritchard RAY, Elijah JONES, Elijah JAMES, Levi MOORE and David CUTLIP. Jul - Wm WHITMAN, moderator. Committee reports on a place proposed by Garland RAY. Church to write a letter to George BRIDGES asking him to make a title for one acre of land. Ritchard RAY, Levi MOORE & Frederick FORT to write letter. If owner of land where they now are, then send letter to BRIDGES. Total membership 117. Aug - Wm WHITMAN, moderator. Plans submitted to build a log house (church) with 12 corners, side logs 20 feet long, one story high, shingled. Received report that Sister Vina ALLEN has communed with the Cumberland Presbyterian Church; Robinson SHACKLEFORD & Daniel KEETH to request her to next meeting. Sep - John JONES, moderator. Vina ALLEN restored to fellowship. Prise LOVELESS and wife allowed letters of dismission. Also James BLAIR. Oct - John JONES, moderator. James BLAIR recvd by letter. Nov - John JONES, moderator. Church received a deed from George BRIDGES for an acre of land where the church now stands but church not sure it is correct - Warren MOORE to inquire. Wm CATEN charged with intoxication; Ritchard RAY and David CUTLIP to see him. A report that Dudley SMITH had been charged with taking something that didn't belong to him - Ritchard RAY and Warren MOORE to see him. Dec - Levi MOORE, moderator. Discussion on the deed but church decided to waive the matter - Jesse STRODE had bought the land where the church stands and said he would make the church a deed as soon as he can get one himself.
