1804:
Jan: Benjamin CAMPBELL came forward and told of a shooting
       match at Daniel HUFF's where he drank too much, con-
       fesessed, church restored him. Received by experience 
       William MILLER & Martha GILLENWATERS (under 
       watchcare).

Feb: Benjamin CAMPBELL excluded for various matters of distress. 
        Received by letter Thomas & Mary Wood; by experience
        Robt STOCKTON and Milley BROCK (under watchcare). 
        Also: Anne BROCK, Elizabeth WILLIAMS, Marget SMITH,
        Joseph SMITH, Rode STOCKTON, Elizabeth LIVINGSTON,
        Mary BROCK & Henry CLARK (by experience. At another
        service: Phillip MULKEY chosen moderator. Received by
        experience John OWENS, Ann CRAWFORD (by letter),
        Abigail CRAFFORD (letter), Joel BROCK, Pheby Febry
        FARRELL [sic], Mary MILLER, Sallie CROUCH, Martha
        CROUCH (all by experience).

Mar: Received by letter Jeremiah HARRIS. Wm RHEA moderator.
       Received by exp: John LEE, Patreg? WILLIAMS & Elizabeth
       MILLER.

Apr: Received by exp: Mary OWENS, Robert CROSS, Nancy
       CROSS, Elizabeth JENTRY, Patreg BOND, Jessie ROBERTS,
       Joseph BRISTOW, Vardeman LEE, Martha BRISTOW,
       Nicholas GOSNELL (under watchcare). By letter; Elizabeth
       JENTRY. Under watchcare: Nathan BOND.

May: Elizabeth LIVINGSTON excluded for saying she was sorry
         for one thing but wasn't and for immoral conduct. Received
         by exp Rebecah PARMLEY.

June: Nicholas GOSNEL applied for letter of dismission, granted.
         Same for Elizabeth GENTRY. Same for Martha GILLEN-
         WATERS. Wm GOODSON, Wm ROBERTS & Wm WOOD
         messengers to association meeting. Moses LEE to assist.
         James BROCK and John WOOD to go to Wm CAMPBELL
         & wife and John ROBINS and wife, Sister HUDDLESTON
         to see why they aren't coming to church. They also to 
         see Cloe CAMPBELL.

July: Cloe CAMPBELL came and gave her excuses, not accepted
        and admonished by the church. Savanah WOOD excluded
        for associating with a company of persons in an unlawful
        act. Elizabeth LIVINGSTON and Thomas WOOD... unclear.
        Jessie ROBERTS chosen as messenger instead of GOODSON.

Aug: Letter to be written to Cloe CAMPBELL to see if she accepts
        admonition. Received by lettr Thomas and Lettis SCOTT,
        Joseph PATTON. Willie KIE [sic] (by letter), Mary SMITH,
        Annie PAGE by exp. James & Savanah WOOD restored.

Sept: James BROCK conversed with Cloe CAMPBELL, church
         again takes admonition.

Oct: Mary MILLER withdraws membership for a reason not
       acceptable, declares unfellowship with her. Nanna Thatcher
       RICHARDSON received by exp. Wm MILLER & wife granted
       letter of dismission.

Nov: Patrick MOONEY called to "set with Bro RHEA" in helping
       with Communion. Mary WILLIAMS received under watchcare.

Dec: Charges had been taken up at the Buffelow Ridge Church.
        Church says it is in disorder for members to take up with
        Societies without permission of the church. [Believe this to
        refer to the Masonic Lodge as there was much discussion
        in churches re this]. William MILLER admitted that he had
        communed with the Presbyterians, says he is sorry, he
        is retained.
