Minutes for the year 1873:

Jan - John PATTERSON preached. Ratified the action of W F NEAL,
        H S EVANS in receiving Thornton HARP into membership at
        the meeting held at Alexandria church. Paid sexton for past
        year ($9.65), W F NEAL & J L JORDAN to find a new sexton.
        More money to be raised to pay past sexton.

Feb - Same minister. Recvd by experience Mary HARP. Hired T B
         NEAL as new sexton for $25.00 a year. Jessey WHEELER
         dismissed by his request by letter along with Marthy, Sarah,
         Mary Jane WHEELER. 

Mar - G OWENS preached, R A BELK moderator.

Apr - John PATTERSON preached. W F NEAL appt messanger to
        meet with the missionary board. Jesse WHEELER's letter
        recinded (noted between June and July meeting)

May - Same minister. Recvd by letter R N HAYS & wife Tabatha
         E HAYS from Fountain Run Church. 

Jun - H S EVANS preached. W F NEAL & T B NEAL appt to
        employ a workman to put stone steps to the church house.

Jul - John PATTERSON preached. Request for Mt Gilead Church
       for helps, granted.

Aug - C MITTER preached.

Sept - Elder SEMONS preached. William JORDAN released from the
          office of Treasurer, J H NEAL chosen.

Oct - H S EVANS preached. Recvd by recantation John A SMITH.
        Letter of dismission then granted him, James COHORN &
        wife Elisabeth COHORN.

Nov - Same minister. Protracted meeting held and following recvd
