Continuation of minutes of the Little Barren Church for 1840:

June - received J W SLINKER by letter.

Aug - Received by experience Iessepenich? G P Baker, Waddy
          THOMPSON and Elizabeth THOMPSON aand by letter
          Margaret PENIC. [PENICK]. On the next day received
          Martha N EMBREE, Ann MITCHEL, Hepatia TRENT,
          Burton W CARR. On the 7th recvd by experience
          Garrett LAIN & Nancy LAIN, Wm HENDERSON &
          Frances a servant of Jenette McCANDLESS. (Moses
          AKIN was the moderator this month). At another meeting
          recvd by letter John FAULKNER; by experience Frances
          BLADES; by experience Nancy FOREST and Clabourn
          FOREST, Libberty S ERWIN, Viney (servant). On the
          9th recvd by experience G W FOREST & James
          ROBERTSON.

Sept - Recvd by experience Joel ERWIN. Chosing of deacons
          set for next month.

Oct - Chose Bro McCANDLESS as deacon; Bros Worley
         THOMAS & KEEN to assist in ordination.

Nov - The two called failed to attend so ordination delayed.
