The minute book was transcribed in 1976 by the late Eva Coe Peden and the late Gladys Benedict Wilson. The minutes run from 1815 through 1849 Metcalfe Co was formed in 1860 from five counties - Monroe, Adair, Barren, Cumberland and Green. By all appearances, this church was in Green Co in 1804. Trammel's Creek Church appears to have been constituted in 1801 and united with the Green River Association that same year. In 1802, it had 35 members. The membership gradually dimished until 18914 when it only had 7 members. In 1815, the church changed its name to Little Barren Church and feebly held on for many years. After the Civil War it had a large increase in membership and at one time had 95 members. This church is different from Tramel's Creek Church in Green County. The minute book beginning in 1815 starts out with a membership list with the following shown with the first date (if indicated) was the date the individual joined; and the second date after the name the date of departure and reason. 10 Feb 1815 Williamson TRENT Mar William ERVIN Sr, WIlliam ERVIN Jr, Robert ERVIN, Sally ERVIN, Susanna BUNNEL, Susanna ERVIN Apr 15 Jeremiah BUNNEL - dismissed John SLINKER Nancy SLINKER - died Sep 1820 May 20 Laurence ANGEL - dismissed Oct 15 Rebecah BUNNEL - dismissed Mar 18 Isaac SMITH - year not shown - likely 1816 July 15 Nancy TRENT Feb 17 1817 David SHOULTS - dismissed 15th day William MATTHEWS March 15 Ambrose BROCKMAN Nancy BROCKMAN William EMBREY Elizabeth EMBREY Joseph LANE Lucy LANE - dismissed May 17 John LEMON - dismissed June 21 Polly ROGERS July 19 William SLINKER Nancy SLINKER Oct 18 Nancy SHOULTS - dismissed Feb 21 1818 Margaret HENDERSON Aug 15 Charles WITT Sus?
