Defendants Pending in the Rowan Circuit Court an order was entered at the December 6, Term 1965 directing Thomas Burns Master Commissioner of said Court to expose for sale at public auction to the highest and best bidder, the property hereinafter described: and WHERAS, said property was sold in accordance with said order, on the 7th day of February 1966 for the sum of Seventeen Hundred Dollars and no/100________________Dollars and no cents, when Hassie Hamilton became the purchaser therof; and WHERAS the report of said sale was confirmed by said court at the February 25 Term of 1966 , and at the February 25 term 1966 an order was entered directing Thomas R. Burns Master Commissioner to execute a Deed of Conveyance of said property to said Hassie Hamilton but for greater certainty, the record and proceedings in said case are referred. Now, therefore this indenture made and entered into this 25th day of February 1966 by and between Thomas R. Of the first part Hassie Hamilton Johnson of the second part WITNESSETH, that for and in consideration of the premises and by virtue of the power of law vested in him the party of the first part Thomas R Burns as Master Commissioner aforesaid has sold and by this writing does convey to said part Y of the second part and her heirs and assigns forever the following described property to wit. A tract of land situated and lying in the County of Rowan and state of Kentucky, and bounded as follows to-wit: All that tract or parcel of land, formerly owned by Leander Trent, situated on the South side of the Ridge near the head of Laurel Fork of Little Sandy in Rowan County, State of Kentucky, Bounded on the East by the lands of Samuel Clark and Luther Martt; on the North and West of lands of Lewis Martt. This being the same property conveyed to France Johnson by Alma Archer by deed dated the 19th day of February 1906, which deed is only recorded in deed book no. 67 page 489 0f the Rowan County records for deeds. State of Kentucky Rowan Circuit Court I W.H Bradley Clerk of Rowan Circuit Court, do hereby certify that this deed from Martha Whisman et als. By Thomas R. Burns Commissioner of said court to Hassie Hamilton Was on the day of ______ 1966 presented in open Court by Thomas R. Burns Commissioner, and was by him duly acknowledged to be his act and deed. And the said deed having been examined by the Court, was approved and confirmed and so indorsed by the judge, and ordered to be transmitted duly certified, to the Clerk of Rowan County Court for record which is now done accordingly.
