Written: 1892-1900 Case 696, Commonwealth of KY vs Westerfield GRIMSLEY, June Term 1900. Felony. Not executed, defendant fled Monroe Co KY. Charge of rape of 18 yr old girl. Witnesses: Ibbie WALKER, Efa FURGUSON, Nancy BUSHONG and Victoria WALDEN. Case 62, 8 Jan 1892. William CRAWFORD charged with the malicious shooting and wounding with intent to kill against Sherman RASNER. Witnesses: Jas RASNER, Jas WASHAM. Defendant fled to TN, not prosecuted. Case 58, 1891 (filed 8 Jan 1892). Bill HUTCHISON - willfully and maliciously stabbing with intention of kiling, cut thrust and stabbed L D SPEARS with a knife, did not die. Witnesses: L D SPEARS, Isaac THOMPSON, W JAMISON. Not executed, fled to TN. No 727, filed 6 Feb 1897. Indictment of James DISMUKES for grand larceny. Witnesses: James G WHITE, G S SPEAR, Bassel RICHARDSON, Turner BARTLEY Sr, J T PATTERSON, S F FRANKLIN. Occurred June 1896, did steal and carry away from Basil RICHARDSON & G S SPEAR 21,000 feet of lumber at the value of $400. Not executed, fled to TN. No 781, filed 14 June 1894. Joe LANGFORD. Witnesses: Bill SPEARS, Will BROOKSDALE. Conceled weapon, deatly (knife). Not executed, fled to TN. No 784, filed 14 June 1897. John T HALSELL charged with carrying a concealed weapon other than his ordinary pocket knife. Witnesses: Heber GEE, Isah SCOTT. Happed in May 1897. Not executed, fled to TN. No 833, filed 8 Oct 1897. Indictment of Sam HOLLAND, breach of peace. Being publically drunk, cursing and talking loud and stopping Andy PEDIGO and disturbed him. Witnesses: John TOOLEY, Wm REAGAN. Happened Aug 1897. Not executed, fled to TN. Case 838 filed 8 Oct 1897. Ben BILLINGSLEY charged with a breach of the peace in July by being publically drunk and cursing and abusing Elmore WALKER. Not executed; is in Barren Co. No 850, filed same day. Indictment of Sam DECKARD. Willfully disturbing an assembly of people, being publically drunk, talking loud, using vulgar language and having a disorderly house. Fled to TN. No 853, same date. Sherman WRIGHT. Breach of Peace. Aug 1877 he and James TOLLEY were publically drunk and cursing and quarreling to disturb the people. Not executed - he went to Allen Co. No 991, filed 11 June 1898. Thomas HENSON. Retailing spiritous liqours without a license to Ed EAGLE in Jan 1898. Not executed, fled to IL. Same charge, sold liquors to Henry COUNTS (COURTS?) George S JACKSON, case 1131, filed 11 Oct 1898. Sold mortgaged property - one yoke of oxen, one horse and hogs on which Mrs. T L EVANS held a mortgage. Summons delivered, no final outcome shown. Smith VAUGHAN, No 1203, filed 10 June 1899. Retailing spiritous liquurs in Dec 1899 to G W BRITT. Executed. No 636, filed 5 June 1896. Johnny STEWART. Taking and detaining a woman against her will in May 1896 - Alice WOOD. She not his wife. Not executed, went to Allen Co. Then went to TN. No 1205, filed 10 June 1899 (2 cases). S D LOGAN, selling spiritous liquors without a license to Peter BIGGERSTAFF. Executed. No 1197, filed Oct 1900. Charley ELMORE. Same charge, sold to S T McDONALD May 1, 1899. Not executed - in TN. No 1327, filed June 1900. Abe CROSS for trespass. Witnesses: Guess ARTERBURN, Henry GOAD, E T THOMAS. Unlawful but not felonious, took, carried away $10 from James YOUNG. He paid. No 945, filed 14 Feb 1898. Smith VAUGHN - more liquor sales. Witnesses: J W C YORK, John EAGLE, Reid SMITH. Sold 1 Jan 1898. Went to Indiana. No 1381, filed Oct term 1900, John COE. Liquors sold to A B PAGE and Henry DENHAM. Executed. No 1314, filed 10 Feb 1900 against Turner BARTLEY. Witnesses: Bird SARTIN, Audy/Andy BENNETT, L E WILLIAMS. Acting disorderly in Tompkinsville. Executed. NOTE!!! The summons was executed NOT the individual!! I have absolutely NO further information on these cases.
