Five were killed and sixteen wounded. Killed: Pat O. BOYLE, Co G; Phillip WHARTON, Co B; Pius HARDY, Co F; ___ SHAFFER, Co B; Dick THOMPSON, Co C; Robt. SHANKS, Co B, accidentlly killed in Chatanooga. Wounded: Herman STIMPLE, Co A; D. SELVIGE, Co B; Sergeant SANDERS, Co H; Samuel QUICK, Co F; Ab. SAGO, Co F. The following casualties occurred in company F in the assault on the 27th: Corp. John FIELD, killed; Corp. Isaac HORRBECK, killed; John R. CRULL, wounded in thigh; Chas. E. MANNING, wounded in leg.
