A number of witnesses went from here to London today to attend the trials. The three Balls are to be tried in connection with the sensational shooting at the Pineville Courthouse May 17 a year ago, in which Riley Ball was killed and John Hurst, Frank Ball and Clay Colson were shot. Who started the shooting or who was responsible for it has never been determined. The occasion was the trial of George Colson. Colson, tried at Richmond last month, was given seven years for killing Ira Ball, the offense for which he was to have been tried the day of this shooting.
