He was ubout 26, married to Miss Willie David of Lair nearly one year ago. Buried in Pythian Grove. Log Cabin 28 Dec 1901 Saturday Vol. 6 No. 52 Pg. 3 Col. 4 Deaths Mrs. Cole Williams, 35, died at Salem, Wednesday. Infant child of Sam Ewalt of Lair died yesterday. Burial at Battle Grove. Chas. Marshall, 26 of Cincinnati, died Tuesday in Berry. Mrs. N. E. Gribbon, sister of Mrs. I. T. Martin, of Cynthiana, died of pneumonia at the home of her sister, Mrs. W. J. Stone, of Kuttawa, at age of 60 years. Charles Hayes, about 30, died near Cynthiana last Saturday at the home of his parents, J. E. Hayes. Buried at Battle Grove. Mrs. Elizabeth Matlack died in Washington City Saturday on a visit to her daughter, Mrs. Chas. L. Carlisle. Buried in Covington. She was wife of Capt. Thos. Matlack,, the popular L. & N. conductor. Survived by husband, and three children: Mrs. Carlisle of Washington; Dr. H. C. Matlack of Cincinnati and D. T. Matlack of Winchester. Mrs. Dulcena B. Boyd, widow of Thomas Boyd, died Monday 23 Dec. in her residence near Boyd in her 81st year. Her maiden name was Dulcena Throckmorton, being the youngest daughter of nine children in the John Throckmorton family. John Throckmorton, half a century, ago was a widely known citizen of Nicholas Co., the owner of a large and valuable landed estate near Millersburg. Only one of the nine children is now living, Mrs. Nancy Arnold of Kansas City, MO. Mrs. Boyd was the aunt of Capt. J. W. Throckmorton, an L. & N. Conductor whose parents died in his infancy and she became his foster mother. She was buried in Battle Grove.
