Born in 1875 and was 35 years old. Survived by wife formerly Miss Emma Jones, daughter, Georgia. Also survived by brothers, Joe, Ed and Richard Wills. Burial in Battle Grove. Miss Ina Simpson, age 26, daughter of Sandy Simpson at the home of her parents on Thursday. Elder F. M. Thomas died in Missouri. Second born. To Dr. and Mrs. Irvine Berry, a daughter. First born. Mrs. Berry was formerly Miss Nellie Lee. Cynthiana Democrat 22 Dec 1910 Thursday Vol. 63 No. 13 6 Pages Pg. 5 Col. 5 Narrow Escape McCauley Osborne, son of Judge J. J. Osborne, and Heber Hicks, son of Jacob Hicks, had a narrow escape from drowning, Monday afternoon, when skating on the river near Rocky Shore, the ice broke and punged them beyond their depth. McCauley went in first and Heber , going to the rescue, also broke in . They were unable to gain a hold on the crumbling ice and the current was swift. Harold Ingles, son of W. H. Ingles, proved the hero. Realizing the danger, he approached close enough to extend the boys his “skinny” stick. Osborne grasped the stick, Hicks swung on to Osborne and both were handed to safety. It is said Edwards was killed in his room at a hotel by a man named by Grace, who has disappeared. He was shot three times in the heart. He was 30 years old. Survived by wife formerly, Miss Nannie Royce, of Richmond, KY. Another dispatch says he committed suicide. He was drinking heavily and then shot himself three times. Born 7 Oct 1820 and with one exception was the youngest of a family of four brothers and three sisters. Married 1858 to Miss Emma Barrett, who died in 1869 leaving no child. He is survived by nephews and nieces; Capt. O. Kennard, of Peewee Valley, Arthur and Robert Kennard, of Kansas City, Mrs. Irwin Cox, of Cynthiana and Mrs. Laura Fisher, of Nicholas Co. Cynthiana Democrat 22 Dec 1910 Thursday Vol. 63 No. 13 6 Pages Pg. 6 Col. 4 Kelat Miss Ina Simpson, daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Sandy Simpson, died Thursday from consumption. She was 26 years old and leaves four sisters, and parents. Member of Benson Methodist. Buried Antioch Mills.
