C. Catherwood in 1856, died Feby. 1st, 1910. The mother of two children, Lucy Catherwood, who died in 1903, and Archie B. Catherwood, with whom she lived at the time of her death, her husband dying two years ago. Of a family of ten one sister and two brothers remain. J. D. Hitch, near Millersburg, Elizabeth Hitch Lee and Charles B. Hitch, Claysville; four grandchildren, two great grand children, 5 nephews and 10 nieces. Aunt Ellen Whitley’s 101st birthday was celebrated with a big dinner, 28th of January at the home of her granddaughter, Mrs. Fannie Williams. Five generations were present. She joined the Baptist Church. She is survived by husband and two children, Curtis and Neva.. Funeral took place Friday conducted by Rev. A. J. Pike and the remains were taken to the church cemetery. Aunt Mary Hill, aged 92, passed from this life Saturday night. She was no doubt the oldest woman in the county and one loved by all who knew her. The funeral took place on Monday at 2 p.m. at Curry on the hill and services were conducted by Rev. W. W. Green. Remains were taken to Curry Cem. Miss Myrtle Arnold, aged 17, died at the home of her father, Jos. Arnold near Broadwell last Thursday. The funeral conducted by Rev. J. W. McClure, was held at the residence on Friday. Burial took place at Jacksonville Cemetery. Mr. Alexander K. Young, formerly of Bath country but for many years a farmer near North Middletown, died at Paris, Monday, aged 63 years. He was the father of Mrs. Percy Smith. Mrs. Amelia Hurst Wilcox, 75, died at Paris. She was the widow of John M. Wilcox, the inventor of the blue grass seed stripper. Pg. 1 Col. 3 Claysville Mr. Nick Muntz who suicided last week and was buried Sunday was another victim of night raiders and his wife, now a hopeless invalid is still another. Mrs. Mary A. Hill, aged 63, formerly of this county, died at the home of her son, Fisher Hill, in Bourbon county, Saturday. The remains were buried at Curry Monday. A son of Mr. & Mrs. M. Gordan, of this city, died Monday from spinal meningitis. The remains were taken to Cincinnati, Tuesday, for burial. The child was three years old.
