Meyers, evangelist of the Christian Church, died suddenly Monday at Princeton, MO. His wife who survives with two sons was formerly Miss Mollie Kate Talbott, of the Indian Creek Neighborhood, a sister of Charles Lee Talbott now of Mason. Mr. Meyers lived at Millersburg for a number of years. Mrs. Isabella M. Williams, wife of Dr. A. D. Williams, died at their home in Bedford, IN on 8 March 1910. She was an aunt of Messrs. John and Henry Wilson of this city, George Wilson of St. Louis, MO and Lawrence Wilson of Williams Arizona. Mrs. Williams was born in Cynthiana on 12 June 1833 and was a daughter of Squire John Williams. Her brothers were the late Henry, George and Sam Williams and John Williams of Paris, KY who is the only one surviving of a large family. She married Dr. A. D. Williams on 19 Dec 1872 at the home of her sister, Mrs. R. T. Lindsey in Platte Co. MO. They resided in St. Louis, MO until abut two years ago when they removed to Bedford. Dr. Williams is a nephew of the late Dr. E. Williams, a man of great prominence and large practice in Cincinnati, OH, a pioneer in treatment of the eye and ear. Besides her husband, Mrs. Williams is survived by two daughters. Judge W. M. Beckner, Aged 69, died at the home of his son in Winchester Monday night. Judge John A. Ramsey, aged 65 died at his home in Owingsville, Thursday of heart disease. Judge Ramsey was a prominent Odd Fellow and Mason, being a Past Grand Master of the latter order. He was also ex-County Judge of Bath County. Col. James P. Allen died in Lexington, Tuesday from paralysis. He was 62 years old and is survived by three sons and three daughters. He was a native of Fleming Co. and a brother of Mr. Garrett Allen, of Cynthiana. He was a Confederate veteran. Jas. George Sr. formerly of Cynthiana died in Winchester Sunday Carl Kearns, aged 3 years, son of Alfred Kearns, of Poindexter, died Saturday. Millie Whalen died March 9th and is buried at Mt. Pleasant. Williams of the Pendletonian died in Shelby Co. 4 March after a short illness of pneumonia. Henry S. Marshall assessor of Pendleton dropped dead Wednesday morning. He was a Confederate Veteran. Thos. Hampton died, age 57. Mrs. Martha McKinney died rather suddenly on Monday at her home in the East End. She was 79 years of age being born 20 January 1831 in Pendleton Co. Adjoining counties Scott Co. Mrs. Lizzie Rankins Greene died Saturday at the residence of her aunt, Mrs. Lizzie Kenney, with whom she had made her home for many years. She was aged about 56 years. Mr. J. Ed Applegate died Sunday of grip at the home of his son-in-law Mr. Geo. W. Cleveland, in Jessamine County. He would have been 83 years old in April. He was born and reared in Georgetown and for a number of years was prominent in the grocery business. Born to Joe Cannon Greggs and wife near Finnell, a 14 pound girl. Born to wife of Mr. John Mulholland, twin girls. R. E. Roberts county attorney of Scott, elected last November died suddenly at his home in Georgetown of heart trouble. Bradford died in Cincinnati last Tuesday and the remains were shipped to Carlisle Wednesday for internment. She was the sister of the late Mrs. Mary Mathers, mother of Senator C. W. Remains were buried in the family cemetery near Stonewall. Mrs. Gilbert M. True died near New Columbus. Mrs. Hale, died near Covington. Remains arrived at Corinth and taken to family lot at Keefer. Miss Vance, daughter of John A. Vance died at Porter. Cynthiana Democrat 17 Mar 1910 Thursday Vol. 62 No. 25 8 Pages Pg. 6 Col. 3 Luther Noel, son of Mr. & Mrs. Crit Noel, of this county, hanged himself Friday in a barn on the farm of Dan Chapman near Glencoe. He was only 18 years old and was working for Mr. Chapman. Information is wanted concerning a Revolutionary soldier named James Lyons. Or Lion, who enlisted from New Jersey, who had a daughter Nancy and son, John and was buried in Harrison Co. KY. Ben Winkle, an aged man, died at his home in the country last Monday. Burial took place Tuesday in the family burying ground.
