She is survived by her husband, Mrs. Allen Rowland and one child, and three sisters: Misses Sue and Bess Peddicord of Winchester and Mrs. T. R. Jackson, Louisville. Burial in Jacksonville. Mrs. Fletcher Mann, formerly of Paris died in Lexington. She was Miss Mollie Jones of Nicholas Co. She was 53 years old. They have returned and are stopping with the groom's brother-in-law, Raymond Wright, near McKinneysburg. Allphin was drowned in the railroad reservoir at Williamstown while trying to swim across. The News says his death was due to heart failure, attributed to hard drinking. Chambers, Wednesday, and about four o'clock in the afternoon he was struck by lightening and death was instant. He was 18 years old. Birch Jr., died at her home in Clinton, MO on 6 June of heart failure. Wife of Col. James H. Birch. She was the daughter of Judge J. V. Bassett, of Harrison Co. KY. Born in Cynthiana 26 Jun 1836 and on her 19th birthday was married to James H. Birch who brought her home where she lived to the day of her death (Clinton, MO). She is survived by her husband, seven children, eight grand-children and one great grand-child. Mrs. Fannie Jane Ashpaugh, wife of S. B. Ashpaugh, died at the home of her husband in the Leesburg neighborhood, last Friday, 24 June. She was daughter of George D. Jett of Bracken Co. and born 11 April 1874, making her a little more than 36 years of age. Mr. Ashpaugh is a native of Woodford Co. and was married eleven years ago. Funeral was at the Leesburg Christian Church. John W. Powling, died at his home in Carlisle Sunday. He leaves a wife and one adopted daughter. Miss Kate Jameson, aged about 26 years, daughter of Dr. & Mrs. J. W. Jameson, was found dead in her bed at her home in Paris, Saturday. Heart failure James H. Mrs. Felix Cheek, a bride of three days, died in Columbia TN from the effects of swallowing a disinfectant, which she supposed was a tonic, while on a train between Nashville and Columbia.
