Oddville Born to Mr. & Mrs. George H. Wilson, a son. Cynthiana Democrat 17 Feb 1910 Thursday Vol. 62 No. 21 4 Pages Pg. 3 Col. 4 Deaths John C. Clay died in Bourbon last Wednesday. He leaves a wife, the daughter of the late Matthew Hume, and three sons, Hume, Frank and Harry. Mr. Thomas Shingleton, aged about 75 yers, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Harpe, in this city, Friday from the infirmities of old age. The funeral was conducted by Re. C. W. Elsey was held Sunday, and burial took place in the burying ground at Poindexter. Survived by 10 children, all of whom are grown. Mrs. Martha M. Hildreth, aged 81, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Mamie Frisbie, at Latonia Friday. The funeral was held at Berry Sunday afternoon and burial took place at Colemansville church yard. Mrs. Hildreth was the mother of Mrs. T. B. Stone, of Berry. Mrs. J. M. Wilson died at her home at Berry at an early hour Saturday morning, after a brief illness of pneumonia. She was born 22 August 1841 married 20 October 1884. She united with the Valley Christian Church near Claysville, about 50 years ago, under the pastorate of Rev. Lee. She and her husband, John M. Wilson have made their home at Berry for several years. Funeral services were held at the residence Sunday conducted by Rev. S. H. Burgess. The interment took place at Pythian Grove. Reuben S. Robertson, aged 75 years, died Tuesday at his home in the Sylvandell neighborhood. He had been in about his usual health, but was found dead in bed. He is survived by wife and six children, Messrs. John and Dick Robertson, of Bourbon Co.; Miss Ida Robertson, Mrs. Lafe Harney and Mrs. Will Harney of this county. Funeral will be held this morning, 11 o'clock at Republican Christian Church of which the deceased was a member. Mr. Robertson was a well known farmer. He was the only surviving brother of the late T. A. Robertson. John T. Jacobs about 75 years old, died at his home near Leeslick, Monday, from the infirmities of old age. He is survived by two sons, Richard and Robert and a daughter who lives in California. His wife, who is a sister of John T. McLoney, died a number of years ago. The funeral was held yesterday, conducted by Rev. Redd, and burial took place at Mt. Gilead. Miss Myrtle Harris, aged 34, died at the home of Isaac Whalen, on Pleasant Street, Cynthiana, Sunday night. Funeral and burial took place at Curry yesterday. A brother of J. H. Williams, formerly of this county, died at Bardstown, Monday. Born To Mr. & Mrs. L. L. Lowe, a son - William Madison; weight 11 pounds. On Feby. 14th, to Mr. & Mrs. L. E. Karrick, of Price Hill, Cincinnati, a girl. Mr. & Mrs. Karrick were formerly of this city and Mrs. Karrick was Miss Hester Brown. Cynthiana Democrat 17 Feb 1910 Thursday Vol. 62 No. 21 4 Pages Pg. 3 Col. 6 HANGED SELF Nick Muntz who killed Elva Coy two months ago Takes his own life Nick Muntz hanged himself in a barn on his farm near Sylvandell last Friday afternoon. The body was discovered by Mrs. Taylor, who has been living at Muntz's home. She gave the alarm and neighbors quickly gathered and took down the body. Funeral services were held Sunday, and burial took place at Republican Church. He was the son of Joseph Muntz and was about 35 years of age. He is survived by wife and several small children.
