He was electrocuted Friday. Cynthiana Democrat Thurs 13 Jul 1911 Vol. 43 No. 42 Pg. 1 Col. 4 Died in Philippines Harry Jett, aged 21 years, who joined the Army from Winchester two years ago died. His death was the result of an accident, his back being broken by a fall from his horse. The remains will be brought back to KY for burial. Mrs. J. W. Day, age 35, formerly Miss Oma Small of Nicholas Co. died E. C. Ryan formerly of Kiser Station, died. Mrs. Clara Ransdall died at her home near Jacksonville. Cynthiana Democrat Thurs 13 Jul 1911 Vol. 43 No. 42 Pg. 5 Col. 2 Morningglory Claud Everett Florence, 5 month old son of Mrs. Ollie Smith Florence, died Thursday. This is the second bereavement of Mrs. Florence in two months, her husband Mr. J. Wesley Florence died of tuberculosis of th elungs. Child buried in Mt. Pleasant Cem. Elijah Monson, died at his home near Shadynook on Friday of Bright's Disease. He was 85 last December. Burial in Battle Grove. Survived by widow, and eight children (two sons and six daughters. Named) Cynthiana Democrat Thurs 13 Jul 1911 Vol. 43 No. 42 Pg. 8 Col. 1 Claysville Garnett Lovel Bratton, at Bratton, Robertson Co. died at the home of her mother, Mrs. Alice Worrick Bratton on 3 Jul 1911. Born 18 March 1892, she was 19 years, 3 months, 15 days old. Besides her mother, two brothers and two sisters, Richard, Claud, Jessie and Lizzie Bratton survive her. Buried at Foster Chapel on 4 Jul 1911. Cynthiana Democrat Thurs 13 Jul 1911 Vol. 43 No. 42 Pg. 12 Col. 2 Deaths Mrs. Lula Simpson, widow of Harry Simpson, died at the home of her father, Mr. Maupin, near Antioch, Monday. Elijah Monson, father of I. N. Monson, died near Shadynook on Friday. James Falconer, age about 45, died near Rutland on Monday of TB. Thomas Cummins, aged 36, fireman on the L. & N. died at a hospital in Covington, Wednesday of TB. The remains were buried in Pythian Grove Friday. He was brother of Mrs. S. S. Moore of this city and Mrs. James Elmore of Berry. Mrs. Ellen J. McCauley, wife of J. Frank McCauley died at their home in the country, Sunday, after a long illness of cancer. Mrs. McCauley was a daughter of the late John Florence and was born on June 1, 1838, making her at the time of her death about a month over 73 years old. She was a most excellent woman, of a kind and generous nature and greatly beloved by all who enjoyed her friendship. She was married twice. Her first husband was Mason Cook, who was a Confederate soldier during the civil war. There were three children by this marriage, two of who are living. Some time after Mr. Cook's death she became the wife of Mr. McCauley, who survives with six children, all of whom are grown: Mrs. J. J. Ross, Mrs. Chas. Wells, Miss Vira McCauley; Messrs. Joseph, Thomas and Homer McCauley, to all of whom the sympathy of friends is extended. Four sisters and a brother also survive. Mrs. Elizabeth Hardin, Mrs. Belle Phillips, Mrs. Amelia Craycraft, Mrs. Eliza Peterson and Mr. Marion Florence. Funeral services were held at the Beaver Baptist Church Tuesday, conducted by Rev. S. H. Jnes assisted by Rev. S. H. Burgess. Burial followed at Beaver Baptist. The pall bearers were John Hardin, Robt. Florence, N. Ross, John McCauley, Q. B. Whitaker, J. L. Muntz. Mrs. McCauley was a life-long member of the Christian Church. George P. Hamilton, died in Covington, Monday. Buried at Willow. He was 46 years old. Born and raised in Bracken Co. Survived by wife, Mrs. Mary Hamilton who lives in Chicago, two sister, Mrs. E. Daum of Paris and Mrs. Lucy Johnson of Brooksville and one brother, Joe Hamilton of Falmouth. His other brother, Ward Hamilton, died a number of years ago. He lived for a number of years in Cynthiana where he conducted a hotel, the Hamilton House, in its day one of the best hotels in Kentucky. McDaniel, widow of James McDowell died in Georgetown in her 68th year on Wednesday. Born and reared near Georgetown being the daughter of Willis Proctor. Nicholas Co. John Bussell, 46, died. Mrs. John T. Linville, died Harry Glenn, age 51, of Kansas City, formerly of Carlisle died.
