She was born in Ireland on 12 Aug. 1832 and came with her parents to America when she was but seven years old, landing in New Orleans, LA. In 1851 she became the wife of Emanuel Williams, in Cincinnati, where they resided until 1868 when they removed to Cynthiana and made this city their permanent home. Mr. Williams died about twenty years ago. Seven children survive, all grown: John H. Williams of Barnesville, OH; Clem Williams, Latonia; Mrs. John R. Davied, Emanuel, George, Dennis and Patty Williams of this city. The funeral was held in St. Edward's Church and burial followed in the St. Edward's Cem. Miss Ella VanDeren, died in Lexington, Monday. Daughter of W. G. VanDeren and was born and reared near Berry. Buried in Battle Grove. Mrs. Martha Morford died at Cowan Station, Fleming County, Sunday. Sister of Dr. J. E. Wells of Cynthiana. Robert Kennon, brother of Pat Kennon of Claysville, died in Covington Sunday. Buried in Milford. Cecil May Ireland, infant daughter of Wes Ireland of Leeslick, died Tuesday. Born 5 Jan 1910. Mrs. Ezra N. Offutt, age 68, died at Georgetown on Monday. J. Beach, Mt. Zion, died Scott Co. Andrew Fluke, age 3, died Mrs. Elizabeth Ireland, age 68, died Nicholas Co. Mrs. Polly Barnes, age 70, died Cynthiana Democrat Thurs 29 Jun 1911 Vol. 43 No. 40 Pg. 3 Col. 2 Claysville Herbert Mononger, died Wednesday. Buried in Washington, PA. Cynthiana Democrat Thurs 29 Jun 1911 Vol. 43 No. 40 Pg. 5 Col. 2 Increase in Pay Beginning next July all the rural mail carriers having a standard route of 24 miles will receive a raise in salary of $100 per year. which will make their yearly salary $1,000 instead of $900 as it now is. . . . This increase will be the third one granted the carriers since the department was established in 1903. The original pay of the carriers was $600 per year. This was increased to $750 two years later and in 1907 to $900.
