She was a sister of Mrs. L. H. Nichols of this place and of Mrs. T. K. Shuff of Georgetown and also of Mr. W. Hawkins. Died, in Good Samaritan Hospital in Lexington on the 30th, with cancer of the stomach, Miss Cordelia Leach, aged 49 years. The deceased was a member of the Christian church here. Eld. W. T. Donaldson, of Lexington conducted the funeral services at the home of her brother, Wil H. Leach of Delaplane on Sunday; burial at Georgetown Cemetery. Rader, of Bulls Gap, TN, were quietly married by Rev. W. E. Ellis at the home of the bride’s mother, Mrs. Mary E. Davis, on Oddville Ave. In this city on Thursday eve. Dec. 29. The bride is the daughter of the late L. J. Davis, of this city. The groom is a prosperous farmer and stock trader of Bulls Gap. Mrs. Jett was the wife of the late Jessie H. Jett of Milford, KY, who died four years ago. Mr. Rader still remained an old bachelor. He was married to Elizabeth Renaker. Two children were born to them, Mrs. Frank Craig, Broadwell and Mrs. Calvin Hicks of Arizona. Several years after the death of his first wife he married Elia Kendall. Three children blessed their union: Mrs. Jas. P. Ammerman, Harry and Sidney Bailey. Two sisters and one brother, Mrs. Catherine Craig, Mrs. Albert Wiglesworth and Mr. Marion Bailey who resides in Kansas. He united with the Methodist Church early in his young manhood and lived in the faith. Services were conducted by Bros. Redd, Vaught and Penn at Mt. Hope, Sunday Morning. Burial in Battle Grove. Mr. William Gibson Eads, who died in Paris, Dec 28 was 70 years old the 11th day of May. He was born and reared in this county and married Mary Elizabeth Duncan in 1861. Had he lived until January 10th he and his good wife would have spent together fifty years of happy married life. He united with the Presbyterian Church 30 years ago. He was the father of nine children, Mrs. Mattie Stevens, Mrs. Anna Kenedy, Mrs. Josie Woodward, all of Paris; Mrs. Lou and Mrs. Mary McLoney, of Connersville; John, Jessie and James of Paris and Will of Lexington. Rev. Cockeral conducted the funeral services at the home and he was buried at Beard’s. McCauley, Mrs. Iva Harper and children and Lela Williams dined with S. D. McCauley and family one day last week. Born to the wife Mr. Joe Mastin, of Venus, last Wednesday, a son. Hall, daughter of John V. & Katherine Rice, was born at Cross Roads, near Brooksville, Kentucky, January 23rd 1821. She was married to Obadiah B. Terry October 14th, 1842. The fruit of this union was Mary A. Terry, born March 16th, 1856 and Lewis T. Terry, Jr. born June 21, 1848. Both children survive, the daughter preferring to spend her life with her mother rather than link it with some one else. Mr. Terry’s death occurred February 13, 1849. Until January 15, 1857, she was well and bravely bought life’s battles, at which time she was again married to David S. Hall. No children were born of this union. On the morning of Dec 29th, 1910 she died. Buried at Pythian Grove Cem. On Dec. 31st. The pall bearers were: M. C. Swinford, N. S. Terry, J. M. Terry, T. F. Terry, J. R. Shadd and William Pulliam. James Courtney, age 60 years, died after a short illness. Mr. Courtny was only sick about 24 hours. He leaves a wife and nine children (no names given). And Mary F. Wiglesworth b. 1863 in Harrison Co. He owned a farm near Poindexter and lived with his brother Garnett. Also owned an interest in The Wiglesworth Bros. Co. Member of Union Baptist Church. Funeral held at his residence on Sunday morning by Rev. E. C. Cottrell. Burial in Battle Grove. Pall bearers: T. G. Wiglesworth W. G. Wiglesworth J. M. Wiglesworth M. D. Martin Clarence Garnett T. L. Tuesday night of pneumonia at the residence of Mr. Lizer at Lair. Age 56 years Burial this morning in family grave yard at Lair. Survived by brother living near Lexington and two sisters in Missouri.
