Magee were married on the evening of Sept. 19. Performed at home of Rev. J. R. Jones on Elmarch. Bride is only daughter of Mr. & Mrs. J. S. Walden of the Breckenridge community. “Jack” Magee is a son of Mr. & Mrs. Harmon Magee. Cook – Middleton J. D. Cook, 53, and Miss louisa Middleton, 52, both of Harrison Co. Were married in Cynthiana last Thrusday. Herrington – Florence Wm. Herrington, 36, Bourbon Co, and Miss Bertha Florence, 16, daughter of Johathan Florence of Harrison were married on Oct. 6. Laitch – Lionbarger Mrs. Lyman Miller announces the engagement of her daughter, Miss Arabella Laitch, to Mr. Jonn G. Lionbarger, of Ashland, KY and Lexington. Buried in Higginsport, OH. Aunt of Mrs. John Yearsley and Mr. Walter Jenkins, of Cynthiana. T. G. Mullen, age 76, died at his home in Georgetown on last Thursday. Survived by three children: H. Mullen of Cynthiana, Mrs. James Wilson of Georgetown, Mrs. Ella Combs of Midway. Son of Will Harney died in Belmont on Friday. Age four months. Richard Kearns, age 78, died at his home in county Sunday. Burial in Curry Cem. Thomas Jenkins, age 81, died at home of his son, Will Jenkins, at Sylvandell, Friday. Buried at Republican. Henry Long, died at Athens Ga. Survivied by wife and two sisters, Mrs. Sidney Offutt, of Georgetown and Mrs. John M. Gatewood of Mt. Sterling Mr. Jenkins, see Morningglory items. Funeral took place at Central Christian Church. Buried in Sunrise Cem. Survived by parents and 9 year old brother, Herbert. Arch Moore came up from Cincinnati Sunday for the funeral of his niece, Dulah Moore, returning the same ay, is wife and daughter, Mae, going home with him. Cynthiana Democrat Thurs 12 Oct 1911 Vol. 44 No. 3 Pg. 4 Col. 2 Morningglory Thomas F. Jenkins, died at the home of his son, J. W. Jenkins, last Saturday. He was 81 years, 11 months and 14 days old. Born on farm not far from Cynthiana. Married Miss Lucinda Smith, a sister of Messrs, S. A. Smith and J. R. Smith of Shadynook in the fall of 1853. One daughter, Mrs. J. R. Taylor died several years ago. Living children are: Mrs. J. A. Platt, Mrs. S. M. Fryman of Sylvandell, Mrs. M. Kearns of Barefoot, and his only son, J. W. Jenkins of Sylvandell. His wife died two or three years ago. Buried at Republican Church Cem. Member of M. E. Church at Mt. Pleasant for 40 years. Pall bearers were: S. J. Fryman, Henry Platt, J. M. Bruce Metzger, 27, died of typhoid Robert Harp, 4, died of infantile paralysis Frank Mitchell Burns, 26 died of typhoid fever The heirs of Mrs. Nancy Allen sold Wednesday her farm of 250 acres to James Martin at $103.60 per acre. It is understood that the farm goes to John Johnson, in Paris. Leland Stanford Mattingly, of Louisville and San Francisco and Mrs. Fannie Wiley James of Lexington, widow of Charles R. James were married at the Sinton Hotel, in Cincinnati, Wednesday. They left for San Francisco where they will reside. Dr. J. A. Gilkey and Mrs. Ida Everman, both of North Middletown, were married in Lexington on Wednesday. The bride is the widow of Jake Everman and had three children, while the groom has one. McLanaha and Carrie A. Sanders; Harry R. Parker and Lelah Popr; J. R. Whaley and Bessie Dunaway; Jos. D. Spurs and Pearl Hicks; C. L. Mardis and Nancy Askman; J. W. Hightower and Martha McGivbbon; Word Webster and Merie Gosney. Fifty years ago, Sept 26, 1861, at the home near Mt. Vernon, Jno. W. Bristow and Miss mary Jane Parker were married. On Sunday Sept 26 at their hospitable home near Antioch Mills, about 50 relatives gathered to enjoy the festivities of their golden wedding. Lester B. Link age 2 died Miss Maggie Wedding age 18 died Wilbert Austin age 5 died Robertson Co. George D. Young, eldest son of F. M. Young, was killed in Louisville by being thrown from his buggy by a run-away horse. His life was insured for $20,000, two policies having been taken out last week. Mrs. Lillie Crawford died at her home near Blue Licks Springs Wednesday of last week. Remains were brought to Mt. Olivet for burial in the old Baptist Church Cemetery. Widow of Joseph Crawford and is survived by three children. (Not named) Scott Co. Mrs. Eliza Hockensmith Gatewood did Tuesday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Coleman in Frankfort.
