W. Shropshire Shots Self Mrs. Fannie Shropshire wife of W. W. Shropshire, shot and killed herself at her home near Lair. Daughter of Washington Redmon of Bourbon Co. m1 to Robert Lair of Harrison and had two sons, Redmon and John Lair. m2. Jeff N. Stone of Bourbon Co. and about 6 years ago she married 3 W. W. Shropshire. Survived by two sisters, Mrs. Castle Redmon of Bourbon and Mrs. Forsythe of Missouri and one brother, Sol Redmon of Bourbon Co. She was 57 years old. Buried at Battle Grove. Survived by four sons and one daughter: Rev. Felix K. Struve, John M. , C. C. and Leon Struve and Mrs. Harcourt. Weedon Thomas Daily age 73, died at his home near Oddville Monday night. Burial in Battle Grove. Thomas Fitzgerald, age 50, died at home at Jacksonville on Monday. Buried at St. Edward's Cem. He was born in Mason Co. Mrs. Elizabeth Linton, of Russellville, KY died at Denver, CO, 28 Oct 1911. Niece of Mrs. Mary Curle and Milt Johnson of Cynthiana. Willie Harney, age 5 months, son of Sam Harney, died Tuesday. Buried at Rebpublican. Infant child of Walton Ravenscraft died Tuesday. Buried at Salem. Thorn yesterday afternoon. Ribbon bearers were Mr. A. M. Dickinson, uncle of the groom and Mr. John T. McKee, cousin of the bride. Mary Louise VanDeren was the flower girl. Rev. Cary F. Moore of the Presbyterian Church said the cerermony. Ushers were Jamie VanDeren and Tom Thorn of Millersburg. Mr. & Mrs. Rose went to Fremont, NC to begin housekeeping in a house being prepared by the groom's mother. Trial Today The examining trial of Walter Price who shot and killed his brother and Chapman Renaker Hallowe'en Night will be held by Judge King this morning at nine o 'clock. Cynthiana Democrat Thurs 9 Nov 1911 Vol. 44 No. 7 Pg. 1 Col. 6 WESLEY IRELAND Accidently Shoots and Mortally Wounds Self TRAGEDY NEAR LEESLICK Wesley Ireland, who resides at Leeslick, accidentally shot himself Friday and died Saturday from the wound. His brother Hendricks Ireland was with him when it happened. Burial in Jacksonville. Survived by wife, Miss Ollie May and one child (not named), mother, two sisters and four brothers (not named). It was Mr. Ireland's brother, Cleveland, who was shot and killed several months ago. One of Mr. Ireland's children was burned to death some time ago. Another child died last spring. O'Rear, Committee Cynthiana Democrat Thurs 9 Nov 1911 Vol. 44 No. 7 Pg. 4 Col. 2 Claysville (Ella Minor Hitch) On Wednesday, Nov. 8th we attended the funeral services of George Duckworth at Beaver Baptist. The sermon in the church was by Rev. Burgess, who for 35 years has been its pastor. The church choir gave several beautiful selections. First the Odd Fellows of Cynthiana Lodge of which the deceased was a member took charge of the body and it was born to the grave. After the Odd Fellows came the Pocahontas. Their ceremony was beautiful, as went the Order of the Red Man. The pall bearers were three from each lodge. Beaver Baptist Band furnished the music. The crowd was one of the largest ever assembled there and all in loving sympathy for the wife, daughter and relatives. (Name of Daughter not given.) Marred John Boots and Miss Sudie Woodward. Robertson Co. Mrs. Elizabeth Deming Wells, 77, died. Sister of Judge S. Deming of Warren, OH. D. B. Ellis died near Santa Fe, age 42. Married Chas. B. Jones and Miss Mamie Burns; Forrest Henderson and Miss Bessie Linville. Nicholas Co. George W. Bramblett Jr. purchased of James Martin 17 acres of the Allen Farm, near Millersburg, at $110 per acre. He gets the part of the farm with the improvements, and Mr. Martin will retain the remaining 70 acres. Miss Kate Spencer, who made her home with her sister, Mrs. James L. Donnell, of near Carlisle was found dead in bed on Friday having expired during the night from heart failure of which she had suffered for several years. The ten year old son of Mr. & Mrs. Peter Willoughby, of near East Union, died last week. Malcolm Richie and Miss Hilda Bishop were married at the residence of and by Eld. E. R. Templeman. Mr. Lora C. Gaunce and Miss Verna Earlywine were married at the bride's home near Saltwell, KY by Rev. E. K. Kidwell. At the home of the bride, Dr. W. H. Martin and Miss Elizabeth A. Gaunce, daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Mack Gaunce, of near Saltwell were married. At the home of Rev. W. F. Vaughn, Mr. Thomas Alexander and Mrs. Frances Laughlin were married.
