Mrs. Margaret Insko, wife of Harrison Insko died at Lair Sunday. Buried at Battle Grove. Born in Bracken Co. 14 Aug 1827. Nee Ashcraft. married twice. m1. George W. Mitchell, dying about 15 years ago. She had eight children with only one surviving, T. M. Mitchell of Marion, IN. She has one brother, E. T. Ashcraft, Adams, NE. Hiles, of this county, and Miss Annie Crosthwait, of Scott were married byJudge King yesterday afternoon. Mr. Glove Goddard, of Harrodsburg and Miss Annie Bell Goddard, a teacher in the Bourboni College, Paris were married in Louisville, Saturday. Washburn conducted the funeral services for the late Sydney Clark Haley, son of Rev. & Mrs. J. J. Haley, who passed away Tuesday after a long illness. Sydney Clark Haley was born in Sydney, Australia, and came to this county when he was 8. Cynthiana Democrat Thurs 21 Dec 1911 Vol. 44 No. 13 Pg. 6 Col. Hinton L. C. Horn died in Orlando, FL last week. He was born in Harrison Co. in 1843 and lived at Leesburg. When the Civil War broke out he entered the Confederate service, Sept 1861, at Prestonburg, KY. Capt. Ben Desha's Company, afterwards being transferred to the Ninth Infantry where he served to the end of the war, surrendering at Washington, GA in April 1865. He was wounded during an engagement bu fully recovered. In March 1871, he married Miss Harriett Louise Eveleth, six children blessed the union with three dying in infancy. He was 69. Survived by widow, three children and three brothers, two who live in Texas. His brother, Arthur, lives near Hinton. She lived with her son-in-law, Mr. Frank Fish, chief engineer of the Indian Refining Company’s Georgetown plant. Were married in the office of the County Clerk. Born to the wife of John W. Mers, a girl, Aletha Golden; To Mr. & Mrs. M. T. Ruddell on th e 6th inst a son. Scott Co. Mrs Linda Pulliam Abbett, wife of W. G. Abbett, died Thursday, age 48. Mrs. Sallie Columbia Hampton, widow of W.S. Hampton, age 76 died at her home in Louisville on Sunday. John Bell, colored, died Thursday. Bourbon Co. There have been 27 deaths caused by violence, suicide, murder and accident this year. Henry French, of Paris, a brakeman, fell from an L. & N. car and was killed. Mrs. Lida Clark Darlington, died at Huntington, WV, wife of Rev. U.V. W. Darlington, Methodist Preacher. Married, Alva Ballenger and Miss Callie Thomas; Jas. A. Whitsitt and Miss Margaret J. Ford; Miss Mary Brown and Louis Nichelson. Born to wife of Thos. Bratton, son; Jerry Fowler, a son; Jas. B. Woolford, a son. Pendleton Co. Nicholas Auchter, age 91, German-American died Monday at home on Lightfoot's Fork of pneumonia. Mrs. Sarah Houston, age 76, widow of T. T. Houston, died near Johnsville, of TB on Saturday. A nuptial ceremony uniting the lives of Mr. Oscar Webster and Miss Amanda Harriosn, Grant’s Lick, Campbell County was performed at noon Wednesday by Bro. Lemmon at his home in Falmouth. Born to wife of Vernon Wiggins, near Bunker Hill on Friday 7 Dec a fine 12 pound son. The little mas has been christened Alvin Thornton. Mrs. Phoebe Setters died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Ruth Ann Day, in the McKenzie Chapel neighborhood at the age of nearly 87 years. P. J. Watson died at his home in the Thomas neighborhood. Connersville Mr. William Chipley died on Wednesday of last week at his home near Lexington. He was burried at Beard’s Cem. His wife, two daughters and one son preceded him to the grave. The infant child of Mr. & Mrs. Will Lake was buried at Beard’s Cem. Wednesday last week.
