"Fish" Cook, of Warren county is championing a bill which proposes for the county instead of the state paying for the record books.  This would work a hardship upon the poor poll-tax payers.  The books are mainly to keep a record of property, etc., and there is a tax of 50 cents on each deed mortgage (except chattel under $40) and suit to pay this expense and it over pays the cost of the books. Now the "fish" proposes to make the counties pay for the books without repealing the above mentioned tax on deeds, etc. If the bill will give the county this revenue we vote "fish" otherwise
