Mr. West ia half-brother to the late Mr. D. F. West and brother-in-law of Messwrs J W and I A Pedigo, of this place. Mrs. J B MARTIN leaves today for Louisville, and thence for Frankfort, where she will try conclusions with the other candidates for State Librarian before the Legislature. She takes the heartiest best wishes of her host of friends for her success with her. Mr. John W VREELAND, of the Farmers Home Journal, accompanied by his wife, came down last Friday to spend a day or two with the family of Mrs. Vreeland's father, Mr. H C Trigg here. Mr. Vreeland returned Monday, but Mrs Vreeland is still here. Hon. W L HAZELIP, stewart of the Lakeland Asylum, accompanied by his wife, came down yesterday, and are now visiting Mrs. Hazelip's father, Mr. W. H ____ of Coral Hill.
