Mrs. Silas CLARK died her home in the Hiseville country, Monday night last at nine o'clock, after six weeks of agonizing suffering with rheumatic fever. She was seventy-two years of age at the time of her death. Mrs. Clark was one of the best women of Barren county, a devoted wife and mother, a true christian lady, a splendid woman in every sense of the word. She has gone, after a life well-spent to her reward. A wide circle of friends, who knew her and loved her in life, will sincerely sorrow over her death. Mrs. Clark had been a consistent member of the Baptist church for many years. The remains were interred in the family burying ground on the farm of W. B. Clark in the Owl Springs country, at ten o'clock yesterday.
