He says the most precious packages come in small bundles. The infant child of Luther Perkins that died last Friday near Leesburg, was buried at Sunrise Saturday. Funeral by Rev. Cosby. Interment at Sunrise Cem. Berry Born to the wife of J. S. Moore at Colesmansville, a 10 pound boy. Born to the wife of Jeff Whitaker, an 8 pound boy. Wood Gruell who died at Cincinnati, of pneumonia, was brought to Berry last Tuesday and taken to the Eureka Burying Ground near his old home. Pg. 5 Col. 2 DEATHS Mrs. Mary Turley died at her home near Headquarters Friday Morning at one o'clock at the age of 63 years. Her remains were taken to the Carlisle Cem. Sunday. She leaves husband, sisters and brothers. T. Earl Ashbrook, member of a prominent family and well known here, died at his country home in Bourbon County last Friday afternoon at the age of 41 years. The remains were brought to Cynthiana Sunday afternoon and the services at the grave in Battle Grove Cem. were conducted. He married Miss Jennie Withers, of Lexington, daughter of the late General W. T. Withers, and is survived by his wife and three sons, Allen, Temple and Thomas Ashbrook. He is survived by one brother, Mayor Felix Ashbrook, of Cynthiana and three sisters, Mrs. R. B. Hutchcraft, Mrs. J. C. Dedman and Miss Sallie Ashbrook, the last two named of Cynthiana. James Harvey Thorne, a well known farmer residing near Millersburg, died at his home Tuesday. He is survived by one brother, Joe Thorne, of near Cynthiana, a sister, Mrs. Sarah Marshall of near Millersburg, KY. He married Miss Sadie Gregory of Bourbon. To them was born a family of 5 boys and three girls. The are; John M. Thorne, Lawrence Thorne, Thomas Thorne, Wallace Thorne, William Thorne, Mrs. J. Smith Clarke, of Windsor Hotel, Paris; Mrs. Annie T. Doty, residing with her parents and Mrs. Meffett Millen, of Memphis, TN. Mr. Thorne was the last male member of the Associate Reform Presbyterian church of Millersburg. The funeral was held Wednesday. Died near Mirands, Mrs. D. M. Stephenson, aged 77 years. Mrs. B. K. Maude, aged 65, widow of the late John Burton Maude, formerly a very wealthy citizen of St. Louis, died at her home LaSalona, Passadena, CA at noon Wednesday of this week. She was born and raised in this county. She is survived by four sisters, Mrs. A. H. Ward of Cynthiana; Mrs. Mary L. Grimes. of Passadena, CA; Mrs. Achilles Martin, of Riverside, CA; Mrs. A. B. Griffith, Cleveland, OH. She was buried in St. Louis. Mrs. Josephine Keller, nee Perkins, aged nearly 71 years, died at the home of her husband, Lew Keller, in this city Tuesday morning, after a protracted illness. She was a native of Georgia and married Mr. Keller in 1867, he having met her during the war while he was a member of the Confederate Army. Buried at Battle Grove Cem. Mrs. Millard H. Myers, aged 25 years, died at her home in Belmont last Friday, after a protracted illness of consumption. She was formerly Miss Elizabeth Wallingford, being a daughter of Mr. Nathan Wallingford, of his city. She is survived by husband and two young children, also her father, one sister and four brothers. Buried at Battle Grove. Mrs. Jane Routt died at an advanced age near Claysville, last Sunday night, after a short illness. She is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Maria (Lum) Smith, of Cynthiana; Mrs. Clara Heiatt and Mrs. Addie Heiatt, of Robertson Co.; Mrs. Fannie Kiser, of Bourbon and four sons; Lucian, John, Temp and Will. Burial in Beaver Baptist. John Hendricks, formerly undertaker and cabinet maker, died in Nicholas County Wednesday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Robert Fuller. He was between 75 and 80 years of age. He made two coffins for himself. The first was destroyed in a fire. The one in which he was buried in was made by him many years ago and was made of solid walnut. He leaves two daughters, Mrs. Robert Fuller and Mrs. Sherman Harney. Pg. 6 Col. 1 Alberta Born to the wife of Richard Kitchen an eleven pound girl. Barterville The stork visited Charlie Greene and wife and left a 15 pound girl on the 15th. Pg. 6 Col. 3 Kelat Woodford Gruelle died at Covington early last week. He was raised in the vicinity of Kelat. He was 23 years of age. and is survived by mother, four sisters and three brothers.
