S. Wall, after an illness of two weeks. Mrs. Crutcher was born in Clintonville, Bourbon Co., KY Nov 21. 1821. She came to Dallas with her husband in January 1876, and has resided here continuously since that time. She is survived by her husband, six sons, her daughter, Mrs. Wall, a brother, C. W. Dawson of Kansas City, who is now here on a visit, and a sister, Mrs. J. J. Piper of Lexington, KY. The surviving sons are Wm. A. Crutcher of Ellis County, Rev. J. A. Crutcher, of Hastings, Neb; G. W. Crutcher, J. D. Crutcher and C. F. Crutcher all of Dallas, and F. M. Crutcher of St. Louis, MO." Mr. W. T. Middleton died February 21 at his home near Marcus, Pendleton Co. KY. He was 56 years old the 5th of last September. He had been a Mason since 1878. Survived by wife and two sons. Member of Christian Church. Buried in Knoxville Cem. James T. Smith, aged 72, died in Lexington this week. The remains were brought here for interment in the family cemetery in the Leesburg precinct. Brother of Charles M. Smith of Leesburg, and William Smith of Connersville, and uncle of Elbert Smith of the hardware firm of VanHook and Smith of this city. Homer Mastin's death is noted in the Sylvan Dell items today. Mrs. Mary Henry, aged 80 years, died Thursday of last week of lagrippe, in Casey County. The remains were brought to Cynthiana and taken to Republican for burial. Member of Christian Church. Survived by sister, Mrs. Myra Neff, of Breckenridge, six sons, A. Henry of Barefoot, J. B. & Robert Henry of North Middletown, Ed and J. D. Henry of Casey Co., Chas. Henry of Shawhan, and two daughters, Mrs. Mort Florence of Lincoln Co., and Mrs. Wm. Miller of this county. Her husband Geo. W. Henry has been dead about 13 years. Mr. P. Barnhard, Sr. aged 72, died of apoplexy on March 25, at the home of his daughter Mrs. D. L. Renaker, at Anchorage. Mr. Barnhard was for many years a prominent citizen of Cynthiana, having been proprietor of the Cynthiana Carriage Co. before moving to Lexington to reside. Survived by two sons, Philip Barnhard, Jr., of New Philadelphia, OH, Frank Barnhard, ticket agent at Lexington, Mrs. David L. Renaker, of Anchorage and Mrs. M. Hargett of Augusta. Buried in Battle Grove. Luther Criswell, ages 36, died of fever last Sunday morning at his home near Kelat. He was son of David Criswell and is survived by his wife, formerly Miss Ada Slade and two children. Buried at Benson. Mr. John Corrigan, familiarly known as "Cap", died at his room on Main St. yesterday. He was an expert stone mason and well know here. Burial in Catholic Cem. Mary Allice Filer, daughter Wm. & Elizabeth Filer died at Breckenridge, KY March 28, 1908 aged 16 months and 23 days. Pg. 4 Col. 4 Sadieville We are all sorry to learn of the sad death of Mr. Ab Sinclair, of Georgetown. Mr. Sinclair was to have contacted with us for 18 Confederate grave markers. Will his administrator carry out his request. Pg. 8 Col. 2 Obituary The death angel has visited the home of Mr. & Mrs. Sam Wash and took from them their son George whom they loved so dearly. He was a splendid young man in every respect. He was born March 9, 1866 (dh - Must have been born in 1886 if he was only 22 years old.) and departed his life March 19, 1908. He was 22 years, and 11 days old. He has gone to join his loving mother who departed this life several years ago. Funeral at Leesburg Baptist Church after which his remains were placed beneath the sod to await the resurrection morn. Pg. 8 Col. 3 Elk Lick Born to the wife of J. P. Wagoner, March 31 a nine pound boy. Luther Clifford of Sunrise is back in our neighborhood with his saw mill. Born to the wife of Albert Brunker, of Republican, twins, a boy and a girl. Sylvan Dell Homer Mastin, son of the late T. J. Mastin, died at the home of his mother, Mrs. Nancy E. Mastin, near Sylvan Dell, March the 20th, 1908, aged 14 years and 1 day. He and his twin brother were the youngest of a family of twelve children, eight of whom survive him. One brother and two sisters having preceeded him to the grave.
