She was the widow of the late William Collier, of Nicholas Co. and a sister of Mrs. osephine Rogers and Chas. Peterson of that county. Her remains reached Carlisle Monday and accompanied by her daughters, Mrs. Laura Hurst and Mrs. Carrie Bare, her son Henry Collier, Miss Lizzie Bean and J. K. Bennett. Carlisle Advocate James Edward Fightmaster, aged 60 died at his home neaer Connersville, Sunday of lung trouble. Buried at Battle Grove. He was son of Wm. and Mary Jane Fightmaster and was born near Hinton. He married Miss Emily Conrad, about 32 years ago and the union was blessed with six children, four of whom survive, namely, Elmer Fightmaster, Earl and Orra Mae Fightmaster and Mrs. Frank Johnston of Mt. Auburn, OH. He also leaves one sister, Mrs. Wm. McLoney, Wm. and Joe B. Fightmaster. Mrs. Ogden Hoffman, formerly of Cynthiana, died in Denver, CO Wednesday morning. He was 65 years old and was a brother of Mr. H. T. Hoffman and Mrs. Mary Raymond, of Cynthiana. He leaves a wife and several children. He went to Denver about 34 years ago. Mrs. Mary A. Toadvine, died near Avena last Friday, at the ripe old age of 77 years. Member of Methodist Church. Widow of the late Fletcher Toadvine, who on account of being paralized, was unable to escape from his home which burned last year and he lost his life in the conflagration. She is survived by five children. Burial in Mt. Pleasant Cem. Mr. W. A. Lovell died last Friday at La Mesa, New Mexico after four days illness of pneumonia. He spent part of last winter in El Paso, TX with his son, Arthur Lovell. He was 48 years old and sold musical instruments here for a number of years. Member of Methodist Church. He is survived by his wife, nee Sabin, formerly of Pendleton Co. and nine children and one brother, M. B. Lovell of Paris. Burial was in Battle Grove. Bowen Smith, formerly of this county has been accidentally killed at Pueblo, CO. Pg. 5 Col. 4 BIRTHS Born to the wife of Mr. Minder McLeod, the popular mail carrier, a daughter. Born to the wife of Mr. Dock Roberts, a son. Born to the wife of Carl Toadvine, of Lexington, formerly of this city, a daughter. Born at Biloxi, MS to the wife of Rev. Hervey McDowell, a daughter. Pg. 6 Col. 4 Sadieville Elmer Fightmaster, our clever ticket and freight agent, was called to Harrison by the death of his father, James Fightmaster, on Sunday. Pg. 8 Col. 3 Pleasant Green Born to the wife of D. Luther Renaker, a daughter. Pg. 8 Col. 4 Hinton Ms. Dunn who died some distance from here among relative, ws brought here Tuesday and buriend in the family graveyard near this place.
