Her death was from eating potash. She was second daughter of Mrs. Tom Barnes. LOG CABIN Fri. 19 Feb 1909 Vol. 14 No. 8 Pg. 5 Col. 3 DEATHS CAPT. ROBERT BERRY Age 74, died in Lexington, KY, Saturday. Funeral was Monday in Lexington. Born 3 Jan 1835, at Georgetown. He joined the Confederate Army in Oct. 1862, Company A, C.S. Staff of Gen Basil Duke in Desha's Company and was transferred to Cooper's Company, Duke's Regiment, Gen. John H. Morgan's command. He afterward sserved under Gen. Bragg. he was wounded at King's Mountain, TN and captured Dec. 12, 1864. He afterward served to the close of the war. He was a member of J. C. Breckenridge Camp. No. 10, Confederate Veterans. He married 12 Dec. 1876, Miss Katherine Didlake, of Fayette county, who was a sister of Mrs. J. H. Shropshire and Miss Anna Didlake of Lexington. Mrs. Berry died six years ago. Captain Berry is survived by one brother, Mr. James Berry, of Berry, KY. and the following neices and nephews: Mrs. A. H. Jewell, Mr. J. S. Weathers and B. D. Berry of Lexington; John D. Berry of Berry; Mrs. John M. Cromwell of Cynthiana; R. H. Berry of Bellingham, WA; Dr. C. C. Berry, San Saba, TX; Dr. Thos. Berry, OK; Gen. W. Berry of Wayland, TX. VERNER TATE Died Monday night at home of his father, George M. Tate, of consumption. Funeral services at Shawhan Christian Church, burial in Battle Grove Cem. LOG CABIN Fri. 19 Feb 1909 Vol. 14 No. 8 Pg. 7 Col. 2 RUDDLES MILLS Born to wife of Uriah Whitson on 12 Feb. 1909, a daughter. Mrs. Whitson was formerly Miss Vaughn.
