Mr. Willis Criswell, of this county, received notice of the drowning of his 
grandson, Veach Criswell, aged 12 years, in a bathing pool at Los Angeles, CA, 
last week.  The boy's father, Mr. Criswell, died some years ago, and his 
mother, nee Oder, married Mr. John Flora.

WILLIAM HENRY CROSTHWAIT
Died 21 Feb. 1909, age 65, in western part of county.  Survived by wife, nee 
Stevens, two sons: A. S. and W. H. Crosthwait; three daughters: Mrs. Lee 
Fields, Mrs. R. T. Crosthwait and Mrs. John Kitchen.  Also leaves two sisters: 
Mrs. Newt Price and Mrs. Bettie Courtney.  Buried in Albert M. Stevens burial 
grounds on Wednesday.  
MATT LAIR
Age 57, died in Paris on Monday.  Born near Lair and moved to Bourbon Co. 15 
years ago. Survived by wife and two daughters, Mrs. Frank Wright, and Miss 
Ethel Lair, Paris.  Also two brothers, Frank Lair of Bourbon and Luther Lair of 
Missouri.
FRAZIER BEAL PARISH
Died in Latonia on Tuesday.  Son of late Wm. Asbury Parish and was 39 years 
old.  Married Miss Mamie Remington, daughter of B. F. Remington, of Paris, who 
survives without children.  Burial in Battle Grove Cem.

Mrs. N. M. Burgess, third child of T. J. Burgess and married N. M. Burgess 
several years ago.  Survived by parents, husband, one son and three sisters.

Archilbald Childers died at his home on Riverview in the 84th year of life.  
Elizabeth Grayson, infant daughter of Newt Grayson died 14 Feb. 1909 of 
whooping cough.  
Silvia Grayson, daughter of Newt Grayson died 21 Feb. 1909 of whooping cough.
