He recently underwent an operation without relief. The funeral services were held in the Sunrise Christian Church on Thursday and the remains were buried at Sunrise. MRS. SARAH JANE MILLION Died 23 Mar. 1909 near Colemansville. Buried at Pythian Grove. Formerly Miss Sarah Huffard, born in Scott Co. 30 Aug. 1823, age 85. In 1839 she married G. H. Million who died about 22 years ago. Service by sons and daughters: Al, William, Jos. H., and Green Million, Mrs. Lark Monson and Mrs. John Brewsaugh all of Harrison Co. and Henry C. Million of Fleming Co. A son and daughter, Asher D. and Mrs. Anne Kennedy are dead. JAMES A. CURRY Died in Lexington, Monday of pneumonia. Born in Harrodsburg, in 1829 and resided in Lexington since 1883. Buried in Lexington. L. R. BLANTON Brother of Attorney J. L. Blanton, Cynthiana, died of heart failure Monday. Oldest son of Dr. L. H. Blanton of Danville. Leaves wife, formerly Miss Laura Shackelford, and two sons, Lindsey and George. JESSE WHITAKER Death noted in Curry Items. MRS. SUSIE KING Death noted in Kelat Items. COL. D. N. COMINGORE Formerly Collector of Internal Revenue died in Covington last week. NEWTON P. TAYLOR Died at his home Tuesday, age 76. Buried in Oddville Cem. Born and raised in Harrison Co. Survived by wife, formerly Miss Sarah Shanks, and five children: Edward W., Jas. W., Ben Taylor, Mrs. Lawrence King and Mrs. J. W. McIlvain. MRS. AMELIA NEBEL Died at her home yesterday. Buried in Battle Grove. Age 83, born 23 Mar. Formerly Miss Amelia Lambert and born in Germany. 63 years ago married H. C. Nebel of Germany and located in Cynthiana in 1854. Mr. Nebel died two years ago. They had six children, three of which died young. Another daughter, Mrs. Lula Warfield died in 1881. The two surviving daughters, Mrs. Chas. S. Survived by wife and children. [A tombstone for J. B. Whiteker is located in the Curry Cem. Raised by Mr. Broughton and niece, Mrs. Lizzie Prennel who took him when two months old. Age 16, and shipped to North Middletown for burial on Tuesday. Anna May Grayson, daughter of Nute Grayson, died. LOG CABIN Fri. 2 Apr 1909 Vol. 14 No. 14 Pg. 8 Col. 2 RICHLAND Born to wife of Marvin Arnold, a son. KELAT Mrs. Susie King, aged 74, died at the home of her son-in-law, Mr. James Wolfe, Monday. Funeral services were held on Tuesday, March 30 at 1 o'clock. Burial at Pythian Grove Cem. The many friends of Mr. H. C. Hightower were pained to hear of his death which occurred in Indiana as noted in last week's Log Cabin. Mr. Hightower formerly was a resident of our village occupying the house now owned by John H. Rose.
