B. Caldwell Jr. a boy. Pg. 5 Col. 3 DEATHS Mrs. Fannie Daniel, mother of Mr. John W. Daniel of this city, died last Saturday at the home of her daughter Mrs. Wm. Florence, near Curry. Her death was due to the infirmities of old age, she being 88 years old. The funeral services and burial occurred at Curry Monday. Pg. 7 Col. 1 Buena Vista Died on the 4th, Mrs. Elizabeth Florence, widow of the late H. H. Florence. She leaves three sons and one daughter. The funeral services were conducted by Rev. Jones of Harrodsburg after which the remains were laid to rest in the Salem Cem. Pg. 7 Col 2 Avena The post office at this place will be discontinued on July the 15th. Joe Mullin of Rushville, IN is at home this week. Pg. 7 Col. 4 Berry Dr. Huffman was a guest of James Perkins last week. Hinton Born to the wife of Carl Rawlins, a daughter. Born to the wife of Virgil Wood, a son. Miss Lucy Havicus died in Lexington and was brought to Corinth for burial. Pg. 8 Col. 3 NEIGHBORING COUNTIES Bourbon Co. Died; 26 Jun, Mrs. Georgina Turner Kennedy, widow of Eli Kennedy, aged 58; June 27, Thomas, the infant son of Mr. & Mrs. Thos. Wornall. The five year old daughter of Elmer Downing, who is the assistant in charge of the sub-station, near Hutchinson, this county, died Sunday morning after a brief illness. Roger Lavin, aged 40 years, died at 12 o'clock Sunday night, at his home in Paris, of heart disease. Nicholas Co. Died; At his home near Bramblett, Tuesday night, June 30th, Mr. James Quiet, aged 69 years. The remains of Mrs. Melvina Dotson, aged 72 years, who died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Hanson Earlywine, in Pais on July 1st, were brought to Bald Hill for burial on Thursday. At the home of her son-in-law Bud Littlejohn, on Saturday last, Mrs. Mary E. Payne, aged 66 years. Services at the home of Richard Caldwell, burial at Oak Woods Sunday.
