Pg. 3 Col. 2 Hinton The infant child of John Henry and wife, of Corinth died Saturday. Pg. 3 Col 3 Avena Born, on the 14th, to the wife of Hez Harris, a daughter. Pg. 3 Col 4 Curry On Saturday, July the fourth, our grandmother, Mrs Frances Daniel died. She was almost 88 years old. Frances Dunevan was born in Bourbon county, November 9th, 1820 and was the daughter of Leonard and Elizabeth Dunevan, one of a large family. She married John A Daniel, March 29, 1848. To them was born five children, three of whom survive. She is also survived by 18 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She was a member of the Methodist Church. Buried in Curry Cem. The pall bearers were six of her grandsons, Luther Mullen, Quincy Jewett, Chester Jewett, Claude Jewett, Sidney Florence and Wm. Florence. Pg. 4. Furnish, with Chas. Rorer, Deputy. Pg. 5 Col. 2 DEATHS The following is clipped from an extended article in the Falmouth Pendletonian; In the death of Mr. Charles M. Cowles, which occurred at this home near Greenwood on Tuesday night July 7th at 10 o'clock, the county of Pendleton lost one of her most popular, honorable, upright and highly respected citizens - a true and knightly gentleman, of handsome, dignified and courtly bearing and charming personality. Funeral services took place at the home of his parents near Butler and interment was in the Butler Cem. An extended notice of the death of Mrs. Frances Daniel, briefly noted last week, occurs in the Curry correspondence today. Frances Frazier McMilliam aged nearly 66 years, died of heart failure at his home near Broadwell last Sunday night. He had been in feeble health for some time. He was a native of Broadwell and he was a veteran of the Confederate Army. He is survived by his wife, formerly Miss Isabelle Cooper, and five sons, namely, Alpheus, Walter, Allie, Lee and John; also one sister, Mrs. Chas. Lail and three brothers, Oscar of Missouri, Thomas and Chambers of this county. Burial was in Jacksonville. Pg. 6 Col. 2 Shady Nook Born, to the wife of G. W. Moreland, a boy, Silas Lamar. Sunrise On last Sunday the funeral of Lewis Colvin, brother of Bennie Colvin, was preached at Vernon. He had been under doctor's care for some time. Sunday at 2 o'clock, at the old Lenox homestead, the funeral servics of W. A. Lenox were held, conducted by Rev. Samuel Foley, of Falmouth. After the services at the house he was quietly laid to rest in the old family burying ground. Mr. Lenox was about 48 years old, never married, was industrious and was considered one of the best farmers in the county. NEIGHBORING COUNTIES Bourbon Co. John Wesley David, aged about 60 years, died at 11 o'clock Thursday night at the home of his sister, Mrs. J. W. Wilson, near Shawhan, from Bright's disease. He leaves two children, who reside in New York. Burial in Jacksonsville. John B. Miller, aged 65 years, died Monday morning at the home of his sister, of Kidney trouble. Nicholas Co. Died.- at the home of her son, Herdy Myers in this county, near Moorefield, on Sunday afternoon last, Mrs. Lutie Myers, aged 59 years after months of suffering from cance of the stomach. At Christ's Hospital in Cincinnati Monday night, Mrs. Franklin Truax, aged about 50 years. Burial at Carlisle Cem.
