MILDRED HICKMAN Died Monday in Covington at the home of her son, Charles. age 75 and wife of late Nicholas Hickman. Burial in Beaver Baptist. Survived by two sons: William and Charles and one daughter, Mrs. Hiram Clough, Missouri. Miss Lola Arnold visited her uncle, Clay Langley, of Pendleton County. Work is progressing rapidly on our new school house. Mr. Arnold is trying to have it ready by the first Monday in November for our school. J. T. Rohr had a fine young horse badly hurt last week by climbing over a picket fence from fright at an auto. There would have been no harm done if the auto driver had stopped when he ought. It may be fun for those in the auto to frighten people's horses and cause them to break loose and run away, but I can assure you that it is not a bit of fun for the other parties and they may sometime kick.
