Oscar Price and family entertained the following guests one night last week. Among those present were Henry Price, IL, and daughter, Rosa; George Price, wife and daughter, Etta; J. K. Six and wife, Sunrise; Joe Moore and wife; Ed Whiteker; Joe Price, Ohio; J. H. Baker and daughter, Catherine; Minnie Price; Bessie Casey. Also, Orie, George, Fred and Kirtley Price, John Criswell, Clarence McKinney and Clarence Price. Price, who intends to erect a dwelling and blacksmith shop on it. He expects to move here and follow the trade of blacksmith. The trustees will hold their next meeting at Sunrise in our new school house on the 6th of November. At the same time and place the county Educational Board will hold its meeting for educational division No. 2. A nice programme is arranged and a large crowd is expected. It will be under the direction of the county board. G. W. King, of Pendleton Co. died last Saturday. Born 10 Mar. 1820, age 89y 7m 13d old. In 1840 he married Miss Polly A. Whiteker by which union he has one child, now Mrs. Mary Bradford. Polly died in 1842. He lived as a widower for six years. He then married Miss Hannah Lemons. By this union he had eleven children. Thirteen years ago his last wife died. Since that time he had made his home with his son, William, who lives at the old homestead. He leaves 9 children, 41 grand-children, 36 great grand-children, 3 great great grandchildren, one brother, 2 sisters, and host of friends. His funeral was not preached on account of the bad weather and so many of his relatives living so far away. It will take place some time in the future. B. S. Price was surprised by his wife and children with a birthday dinner last Sunday for his 55th birthday. Dinner was served by Mrs. Sid Casey and Mrs. George Price. Mrs. Elizabeth Boyers Jones died at the home of her parents, Mr. & Mrs. Jacob M. Boyers, on Saturday. Married Silas Jones. Survived by husband, two children, parents, brothers and sisters. BETTIE CURRENT Wife of John Current, of Shawhan, died Wednesday. Age 70, was an invalid for 10 years, sister of Mr. Amos Turney and Jesse Turney. Burial in Paris Cemetery. MRS. ELIZABETH JONES Wife of Silas Jones, died of consumption, Saturday 23 Oct. 1909 at the residence of her parents, Jacob Boyers, age 27. Buried in Jacksonville Cemetery. MRS. MARTHA D. SKUDDER Wife of Rev. H. M. Skudder, died at their home in Carlisle, Wednesday. Burial in Elizaville. BENJAMIN DUDLEY Age 29, died in Louisville, last Saturday. Father of Mrs. L. Heines and stepfather of Mrs. H. Reister. Burial in Bardstown. He leaves three daughters and two sons. NANCY T. SCOTT WHEELER Born 16 Apr. 1827, died 21 Oct. 1909. Married Lewis H. Wheeler in Nov. 1847. They had six children, with three surviving.
