Sanford Hammons, son of Robert Hammons, died at his father's home 24th and was 
buried in Odd Fellows Cem. Dec. 27th 1909.

Deaths
J. William Slade d. 2 miles from Connersville last Saturday afternoon. 
Son of Daniel J. Slade, both parents deceased.  William was an engineer on the 
L & N RR for 25 years.  Survived by wife, the daughter of Fred Hagele.  Also 
survived by one daughter; two brothers: Dr. Albert Slade, Falmouth and Robert 
Slade, of London, KY.; and six sisters: Misses Sallie, Cynthia and Amanda Slade 
of Falmouth, Mrs. Harry Williams, of Newport, Miss Ida Slade, of Los Angeles, 
CA, Miss Edith Slade of Norwood, OH.  Buried at Battle Grove.  
Mrs. John C. Petty  d. last Sunday of Consumption.  Formerly Miss Gladys Henry, 
daughter of Dr. and Mrs. G. F. Henry.  Married not quite a year ago.  Member of 
Baptist Church, buried at cemetery at Kelat. [Baptist Church?]
Mrs. Rebecca Tebbs d. of paralysis at her home on Connersville pike on Thursday 
night at age of 84 years.  Buried at Battle Grove.   She was Miss Rebecca Allen 
Ammerman, daughter of late Daniel Ammerman, he was a native of Maryland.  She 
married James J. Tebbs, a prominent farmer in 1844 and he died in 1887.  Their 
children were, Daniel, Mrs. Alice Keller, Foushee, Hubbard, Philip, MRs. Sarah 
Lizzie Magee, Enfield, Lucy, Catherine, Mary of Chattanooga, Mrs. Ida Hawkins 
and Mrs. Helen Henry.  Catherine d. in 1861 and Philip and Daniel died last 
year.  She also leaves two brothers; Philip and Joel Ammerman.
