Although the weather was inclement there was a larg crowd present and themembers were enthusiastic over their success and their prospects for good work i the future. The dedicating sermon was preached by Rev. F. M. Rains, of Cincinnati, the total subscriptions at the morning service amoounting to $1,173. This lacked only $27 of the amount required to make the church free from debt and that amount was collected Sunday night. The meeting was an all day affair and there was basket dinner on the ground. The beautiful new church, which stands on high ground a few hundred yards east of the railroad station at Robinson. It is built of concrete, in an attractive style of architecture, and it is a strcture of which the members may well be proud. Buried in Flemingsburg beside his wife who died some years ago. Joseph Howard, killed by tree falling on him in Breckenridge county. Brother of Mrs. Porter Nunnelly of Georgetown. [Date or day not given. dh] Log Cabin Friday 8 Jul 1910 Vol. 15 No. 26 Pg. 7 Col. 4 Sunrise Uncle Ben Downard celebrated his 58th birthday Sunday July 3. Uncle Ben was given quite a surprise when a host of friends and relatives went in on him. They waited for his old lady to come in and get dinner but finally they concluded she wasn't going to arrive and so they went on and got dinner. Uncle Ben seemed to enjoy himself greatly. Those present were Uncle Robert and Aunt Lucinda, Mrs. Cynthia Price and son, Ben Price and wife and his brother George Price, wife and children, Lizzie, Etta, and Otto, Alfred Bayless, John Turner, Elijah Price and wife, George Price, wife and children, Elmer N. and Cora Dallas. John Beckett, wife and son joined in the ranks in the afternoon. When evening came all departed for home wishing Uncle Ben a happy year and hoping to visit him on his next birthday. O. L. Sandy, funeral at Sunrise M. E. Church last Monday. Died of spinal meningitis.
