Thomas Howk, d. 16 Jul 1910 at home of his sister-in-law, Mrs. Mary Howk in he suburbs of Cynthiana. Age 70 Buried in Battle Grove. b. 2 Aug 1830. m. Miss Marguerite Janette McKenney of Georgetown, OH on 21 May 1863 in Augusta, KY. Survived by four sons: Charles Howk, druggist of Chicago; John and Louis Howk publishers of the Progress at Momense, IL; Fred Howk newspaper publisher in Melvin, IL. Also survived by one daughter, Mrs. Mary Capps, of Neoga, IL. Mrs. Polly Ann Haley, d. 16 Jul 1910 of consumption. Over 88 years old. b. 25 Nov 1831. Formerly Miss Polly Ann Cook. m. Coleman Haley some 50 years ago and he has been dead about 10 years. Survived by two sons: Charles and Clem Haley of Harrison Co. and one daughter, Mrs. Addie Smith. Buried in Jacksonville Cem. James E. Clay, d. Sudnay at home "Marchmont" on WInchester Pike in Bourbon Co. He was perhaps the wealthiest landowner in Bourbon county, his possessions reacing in the aggregate to more that seven thousand acres of the finest blue grass land. m. Miss Elizabeth Alexander, daughter of the late Clayton Alexander and sister of Mr. George B. Alexander. He is survived by two sons: Samuel Clay and Charlton Clay and two daughters, Mrs. Arthur Hancock, of Charlottsville, VA and MRs. J. Miller Ward. Burial in Paris Cem. Samuel Jameson, d. 20 Jul 1910 at the Soldiers Home at Pee Wee Valley. b. 7 Dec 1841 He was a Confederate veteran. Survived by his wife, formerly Miss Elizabeth Wood, one son, Frank of Lexington and three daughters, Misses Josie, Margaret and Sarah Carr Jameson. Also survived by one brother, Benj. of St. Louis and one sister, Mrs. Smith of Memphis. Buried in Republican Cem. by the Confederate Veterans. Joel Ammerman, d. 16 Jul 1910 at home of his son, James P. Ammerman. Age 88. Survived by the one son, James. Another son, Allie died several years ago.
