McCarty, of Cynthiana, a daughter. To Mrs. Robert Doane, a son, Joseph Bennett on 10 Aug 1910 Marriages Mr. J. H. Cummins, of Robinson, announces the engagement of his daughter, Florence, to Mr. Frank Kincaid of Bethel, OH. The marriage will take place early in October. Deaths Judge M. C. Saufley, age 68, d. suddenly of heart trouble at home in Stanford. Circuit Judge George B. Saufley, d. last March Mrs. Jennie Butterfield Smith, d. 12 Aug 1910 at age 75. Daughter of Sherebiah Butterfield of Hamilton, OH and grand-daughter of Jeremiah Butterfield, who came from Washington county, N.Y. and located at Cincinnati, when that city was a village of only six houses. Her great grandfather, Nathalniel Butterfield, a soldier in the Revolutionary War, was born in Massachusets and was descended from one of five brothers who came over with their father from Butterfield Castle, Aberdeen, Scotland. Jennie Butterfield married Wm. Smith, of this county, who died a few years ago. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and was a highly cultured woman of splendid intellectual attainments. She is survived by five children: Sherry B. Smith, of Cynthiana; Mrs. Anna May Clark, of Gage, OK; Mrs. Robert Haviland, of Cynthiana; Fitzhugh SMith, of Minneapolis, MN; and Sterling Smith of Harrison Co.; Also five sisters, Mrs. George Bradford of Dayton, OH; Mrs. John T. Campbell of Boston, MA. Buried in Battle Grove.
