Mrs George SHANNON, formerly of Edmonton and T'ville is a saleslady in the large store of NAHM Brothers there. Spent the night with Mr & Mrs G H DAVIS of Glasgow and their son-in-law Corden BROWN who gave a tour thru his ice cream factory. No name of contributor. Newton M PALMORE, last of the older generation of Palmores who lived in Monroe Co, died at his home near Persimon, 14 May. Aed about 90. Survived by 3 grandchildren: Thos Palmore of Gillman IL, Dewey Palmore of Summer Shade and Depp ALLRN of Glasgow. Upright man, highest type citizen; faithful member of the Church of Christ for many yrs. Interment in Pleasant Hill Cemetery the day after his death.
