L R RUSH of T'ville eliminated 23 of KY's best checker players at a tournament 
in the ballroom of the HELM Hotel last night.
Rush beat: J M STURGEON Jr of Bowling Green; Eugene MURRAY of ALlensville; 
Austin CLAYPOOL of Bowling Green and W H GRIMES of Bowling Green.Boss AUSTIN 
died suddenly at the home of his daughter in Fountain Run Tuesday morning of 
last week. 84 yrs old, one of the oldest citizens of that section. Noted 
fiddler; took his fiddle to many entertainments in that section. Survived by 1 
daughter - Mrs Virgil DAVIDSON of Fountain Run.

relatives here. Large crowd at Decoration Day; S B RAY gave an eloquent speech. Dr. C C CARNISH, chiropractor, is locating in T'ville - corner of Mill & 3rd. 
Elder Willie HUNTER, after 14 mos preaching at the Church of Christ in T'ville 
moving to Gamaliel. Has family.

Rockbridge in town Monday. Vanus HAYES of Gamaliel in town Monday. Rev & Mrs J 
H SWANN were visiting in Glasgow Tuesday. Mr and Mrs Willie WILSON of Edmonton 
visiting Mr and Mrs Robet MILLER, parents of Mrs Wilson last week. Mr & Mrs 
William GILLENWATERS, Mrs Herbert SMITH, Miss Ruth PREWITT & Robert REECER 
motored to Nashville Tues, returned that evening.
