HAYES-COOMER Co, Dealers, of Gamalia announce they have the "Star" - a touring 
car for only $348! It had a Red Seal Continental Motor, Tillotson Carburettor 
[sic], Timpkins Rear Axle - 3-4 Floating, TImpkin Bearings, Force Oil System, 
Force Water System, Under Slung Springs for easy riding, dry disc clutch, 
tubular backbone which reduced squeaks, Spicer universal joints, vacuum gas 
feed and a Warner steering gear. The greatest car value the world has ever 
seen!!! Ad for the Glasgow-TOmpkinsville Taxi Company.

Rev James Allen SCOTT who was born and reared in Freedom KY called to pastor at 
the First Baptist Church in Pomono CA. Known locally as "Jim Allen." 

On March 21st the relatives and friends of G C DOWNING met at his home with 
baskets ladened with all kinds of delicious and wholesale foods and gave him a 
pleasant surprise. He was unaware of what was in store for him; had gone to the 
woods to look over some timber and when he returned a large crowd had gathered 
to wish him happy 57th birthday. Present with he and his wife were: T L NEAL,
