She was born in Menifee County, a daughter of the late George & Henrietta Igo Hines. She was a homemaker and a former employee of Bourbon Laundry and was a member of the First Baptist Church. She enjoyed fishing and walking and, at age 80, she walked in the Bluegrass 10,000. Survivors include: two daughters - Nancy (& Robert) Gee of Lexington and Elaine (& Mike) Stephens of Louisville; two sisters-in-law - Harriet Cavanaugh of Lexington and Lucy Marium Payne; two granddaughters - Sheri (& Rusty) Darby of Versailles and Amy Marie (& Alex) Scholtz, Shelbyville; two great-grandchildren - Meagan and Heather Darby, Versailles; and a host of nieces and nephews.
