She lived most of her life at Summer Shade and educated there. Had made a profession of religion and united with the Baptist Church about 6 years ago. Had married on 11 Jan 1894 to Charles A PERKINS. Had lost their only child, age 4 months, about a year ago. About the same time her health began to fail; the final illness lasted 8 weeks. Long tribute. Buried Summer Shade Cemetery. William HARLAN of Glasgow is suffering intensely from dropsy; his death would not be a surprise to his friends. Mrs. Dick NORMAN died Friday morning of last week; burial Skaggs Creek Burying Ground. Riley HOGAN & Miss Annie Finn FAULKNER married last Thursday. Mrs. Louisa TAYLOR of near Caney Fork died last Friday morning, buried at Poplar Log. Frank SMITH of Chicago married Miss Kate DAVIS last Sunday at 2 pm at her father's house, W R DAVIS. Groom from Chicago; moving to the Windy City. Mrs Louisa J FERGUSON, d/o John & Catharine BRANSTETTER was born in Cumberland Co 4 Jan 1824. "In her girlhood her father, with his family, would spend a week of each year at HUFFMAN's Camp-ground, doing service for the Master and witnessing the ministrations of such men as George W TAYLOR, James L. GREENUP, George B HARLAN & John C C THOMPSON "- Methodist Episcopal Church. Long tribute. Married to the writer (Joseph FERGUSON) 18 Oct 1849 and lived at Rural Retreat in Metcalfe Co until the day of her death on March 9, 1896. Services by Rev J L BROWN with burial at AMYX burying ground. Mrs Newton PEDIGO died on March 6th of consumption. Left husband and 2 little boys. Miss Letha DENHAM and Manning HAMILTON married at the residence of the bride's father Feb 23rd by Rev. TINSLEY. Lee ALLEN, probably the oldest citizen of Allen Co died at his home near Scottsville last week. He was 96 and lived his entire life in Allen Co. Charley PULLIAM, formerly of this area and a s/o Cat PULLIAM (formerly of here but now of Tyler TX) to be married to Miss Emma Edith KEYSER of St Louis on April 1st. Miss Mary D TRIGG of here died at St Joseph Infirmary of Louisville yesterday morning at 3 o'clock. Had been in declining health for some time and a few days ago underwent an operation which hastened her death. The oldest child and only d/o the late W F TRIGG who died several years ago in the Temple Hill Country. Long tribute. Body brought to Glasgow yesterday evening, services today by Rev. J R BOATMAN at the Columbia Avenue Christian Church; burial Odd Fellows Cemetery [Glasgow Municipal].
