The Weekly Constitution, Atlanta, Ga. March 30, 1903
Paducah, Ky., March 24. -- The boiler at John McCauley's saw mill, six miles 
from Wickliffe, exploded today.  J. S. Bird, engineer, who was on top of the 
boiler; Arthur Starnes and Warren May, employeeds, were killed, and John 
McCauley and George Marshall were badly hurt.  Bird's body was blown to 
fragments and Starnes' head was blown off.  The building was demolished.
