Bath County News-Outlook August 27, 1936 Bath County News-Outlook August 27, 1936 MONTGOMERY FARNER SLAYS SON-IN-LAW
  A fatal shooting occurred in the Stoops section of Montgomery County at 9:30 o'clock Sunday night when Rollie Coomer, 23, came to the home of Loutrell Warner intoxicated and begun abusing his wife, Mrs. Ella Warner Coomer, 17 daughter of Mr. Warner.
  According to reports of the incident, Coomer armed with a butcher knife attacked his wife and when Mr. Warner tried to quiet him, turned upon his father-in-law, who procured a shotgun and fired at close range, killing Coomer instantly.
  The dead man was said to have been a peaceful man except when drinking.  Mr. 
Warner surrendered to Montgomery County officers.  He was released under $2,500 bond and his examining trial set for September 24.
  Coomer's body was taken to Oakdale, Breathitt county, his former home, for burial.
