Dr. Robert Adams died at his home near Sharpsville, just over the line in Washington county, last Thursday afternoon, in the eightieth year of his age. Dr. Adams had practiced medicine in that community for more than fifty years, and we are told that no man who ever lived was more generally beloved than this humble practitioner, and that one of the rules of his long and useful life was never to withhold assistance from any one in need of it, whether able to pay or not, and that he always went about doing good. Funeral services were held at Mt. Freedom church on Last Friday, conducted by Rev. C. S. Atkins, and there was a great outpouring of his neighbors and friends to attend the last sad rites. The Masonic Lodges from Dugansville, Cornishville, Willisburg and Sharpsville had charge of the services at the grave. Dr. Adams was a most consistent member of the Baptist church, and a regular attendant at Mt. Freedom church where he held membership.
